We are seeking an energetic and talented sales leader to manage our Witham sales team within the Enterprise division of Marsh Commercial. This is a full-time, office-based role located at our Witham office.
Witham is a fast-paced, growth environment for new talent as it welcomes several apprentice cohorts annually. This is an exciting opportunity to help build the new business element and provide coaching and support for the new intake of Sales Advisers. Witham forms part of the Enterprise regional network of offices that focuses on providing SMEs with access to world-class risk and insurance advice. The ideal candidate will bring a vibrant, positive attitude, with a proven history in a sales environment, with a commitment to delivering operational excellence while fostering a culture of continuous improvement.
This pivotal role is ideal for a hand-on, can do individual, who is able to think on their feet and problem solve, knowing where to deploy resource to yield the greatest return.
The role will drive new business opportunities including outbound campaigns , significantly contributing to the growth of our business.
We will count on you to:
- Experience and a history of managing and leading a sales team (which may include outbound lead generation).
- Coach, train and mentor team members on best practices for sales techniques , product knowledge, and regulatory compliance. Providing support and motivation to achieve sales targets and KPIs.
- Develop and implement effective outbound lead generation strategies to identify and engage potential clients in the commercial insurance sector.
- Monitor team performance, analyse metrics, and provide regular reports to senior management on lead generation activities and outcomes.
- Collaborate with marketing and sales teams to align lead generation efforts with overall business objectives and campaigns.
- Ensure compliance with FCA regulations and other relevant industry standards in all lead generation activities.
- Foster a positive team culture that encourages collaboration, innovation, and continuous improvement.
- Stay updated on industry trends, competitor activities, and regulatory changes to inform lead generation strategies.

- Comparable sales leadership experience, with a focus on outbound lead generation or business development.
- Familiarity with FCA regulations and other relevant compliance frameworks within financial services.
- A passion for making a difference to the working lives, skills and success of colleagues.
- An understanding of the commercial insurance industry and market dynamics.
- Ability to remain calm under pressure and be able to work flexibly when required.
- Excellent organisational skills with the ability to manage multiple issues/ challenges simultaneously.
- Proven leadership skills with the ability to motivate and develop a high-performing sales team.
