The role is for a Solution Consulting Lead, part of the Darwin Implementation Leadership team, responsible for driving technical consulting best practice, and supporting solution scoping and design. The role involves representing delivery in the client readiness process, collaborating with sales, product and delivery teams to validate proposals, confirm slot sizing and readiness, and escalate risks where mitigation is required. The role provides Darwin technical expertise and acts as the primary escalation point for complex consulting challenges, champions innovation including AI and automation across delivery and knowledge sharing to ensure high-quality consulting delivery. The role requires strong leadership and stakeholder-management skills, experience translating business requirements into technical solutions, expertise in Darwin and experience with employee benefits software and enterprise SaaS delivery.

Global Delivery and Consulting Best practice

Provide leadership to the Delivery Excellence function, supporting the development of those consultants, alongside the wider consulting team, with a goal of delivering exceptional client service and technical consulting expertise.

Work with the leadership team to identify, promote, and enforce technical consulting best practices, methodologies, and standards consistently across the team.

Facilitate knowledge sharing and skills development within the consulting teams.

Focus on Evolve knowledge sharing and upskilling, to avoid key person dependencies in processes such as client readiness

Coordinate with Capability Managers and Leadership Team to resolve capacity and capability constraints / opportunities within DE – taking responsibility for client allocation to meet project, internal and scoping responsibilities.

Stay up to date with recent product development and be an expert knowledge holder for Evolve platform capabilities

Act as a technical escalation point for complex consulting/solution challenges, working directly with clients where necessary

Ensure Delivery Excellence and Consulting roles work cohesively on client projects to provide appropriate support and foster a high performing culture

Work closely with the Implementation leadership team to decide on and embed ways of working, ensuring alignment with overall strategic goals

Drive continuous improvement initiatives to enhance consulting efficiency, quality, and client satisfaction.

Own innovation initiatives, championing the use of AI and automation tools across the delivery process

Be a primary point of contact for the Innovation, Strategy and Expansion team to represent the needs of the implementation team across Darwin product bugs/features and technical tools.

Represent delivery in the client readiness process, collaborating with business teams (sales, product, client solutions) and clients, to support solution scoping and design activities ahead of project start. Coordinate and enable experienced consultants to also support these activities.

Review and validate technical proposals and solution designs to ensure alignment with client needs and platform, market and organisational capabilities. Coordinate and enable experienced consultants to also support these activities.

Work with Delivery Managers, Programme Managers and Squad Leads to ensure the pipeline, slots and client expectations are aligned.

Work with Programme Managers to ensure the appropriate handover has been completed between sales/commercial and the delivery squad

Work with Regional Delivery Managers to ensure alignment on slot sizing and slot allocation

Work with Delivery Managers and Business Management to develop a process whereby we maintain clear weekly status reporting for the delivery aspects of the readiness process, ensuring there is appropriate visibility to stakeholders i.e.

Have the delivery squad confirmed they are ready

Escalate appropriately to the rest of the leadership team where readiness is causing risk or requests are not achievable and mitigation actions are required
