We are seeking a talented Platform Engineer to join our team in Cluj-Napoca. This is a hybrid role that has a requirement of working at least three days a week in the office.

This is an opportunity to join a collaborative, forward-thinking global team focused on evolving enterprise platform capabilities. You will play a key role in shaping platform architecture roadmaps, assisting with technical design and integration, and driving innovation through emerging technologies. This role works closely with business stakeholders, architects, engineering teams, and service providers to ensure alignment with enterprise standards and technology best practices.

We will count on you to:

• Develop, maintain, and communicate comprehensive platform architecture roadmaps aligned with business objectives and technology trends.
• Provide technical and architectural guidance for platform initiatives, ensuring solutions are scalable, secure, maintainable, and performant.
• Define and document platform solution designs, including software components, APIs, data integration, infrastructure, and cloud-native services.
• Research and evaluate emerging technologies, frameworks, and tools to enhance platform capabilities, including leading proof-of-concept initiatives.
• Partner with business units, product owners, and project teams to translate requirements into robust platform solutions and drive adoption of enterprise architecture standards.
• Establish and contribute to platform architecture standards, best practices, and governance frameworks.
• Support project delivery with architectural input, risk assessments, and technical estimates, ensuring quality of technology deliverables.
• Participate in technology due diligence for mergers, acquisitions, and partnerships, assessing platform compatibility and integration risks.

What you need to have:

• Fluency in English and Romanian is required for all communication and documentation.
• Extensive experience in platform architecture, including cloud platforms (AWS, Azure, GCP), microservices, containerisation (Kubernetes, Docker, containerd), and API management.
• Strong expertise in designing scalable, secure, and resilient distributed systems and service-oriented architectures.
• Proficiency with infrastructure as code (IaC) tools such as Crossplane or Terraform, Git Ops workflows using ArgoCD, automation, CI/CD pipelines, and DevOps practices.
• Deep understanding of data architecture principles, including data modelling, master data management, and real-time data processing.
• Experience with enterprise architecture frameworks and architecture governance, with a preference for modern, cloud-native aligned frameworks and practices.
• Familiarity with CNCF-based technologies.
• Proven ability to lead complex, cross-functional technology initiatives and influence senior stakeholders.
• Excellent communication, collaboration, and leadership skills.
• Relevant certifications (e.g., AWS Certified Solutions Architect, CNCF certifications) are a plus.
