Principal, Risk Management

Marsh | Perth | Hybrid | 12-month contract (maternity leave cover)

Marsh is seeking a Principal – Risk Management for a12-month parental leave contract in Perth. This role is central to delivering high-quality risk advisory and insurance program outcomes for a portfolio of complex and priority clients, while supporting growth, profitability, and client satisfaction.

What you will do

• Develop, implement and manage tailored risk management and insurance programs aligned to each client’s risk profile, risk appetite, contractual obligations, and operating environment.
• Lead end-to-end program delivery including risk assessment, strategy, placement support, renewals, and ongoing optimisation.
• Provide technical, strategic and consultative advice across major insurance classes and relevant regulatory requirements.
• Build and maintain strong relationships with key client stakeholders through structured governance, regular engagement, and clear reporting.
• Support the broader team by coaching junior colleagues and contributing to best practice delivery.

What you need to have

• Demonstrated experience delivering risk management and insurance program design and management for corporate clients.
• Strong client service mindset with the ability to translate risk insights into practical, business-aligned solutions.
• Sound commercial acumen, planning capability, and the ability to manage multiple priorities autonomously.
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills, with confidence engaging senior stakeholders.

What makes you stand out

• 5+ years’ experience in insurance broking and/or risk management with strong technical breadth.
• Proven capability managing complex accounts and driving strong renewal and program outcomes.
• Strong influencing and negotiation skills.
• Tier 1 compliance (tertiary qualification beneficial but not mandatory).
