Job Purpose/Overview
Purpose: Accelerate Commercial Procurement performance by building Associate capability (policy, process, tools, skills, culture), in partnership with regional leaders and global teams. This involves developing and deploying global and regional Commercial procurement capability building programs.
As a Procurement Capability Partner, you are a vital member of our global Capability-Risk-Compliance (CRC) Center of Excellence (CoE). Your mission is to elevate the skills and strategic impact of our entire procurement organization. You will act as a strategic partner and coach, designing and deploying world-class training programs that empower our teams to excel. This isn't just a training role; you will be a key architect of our "One Procurement" vision, building a culture of continuous learning and excellence across the APMEA region and beyond.Context: Commercial is in the process of driving major transformational change across its Organization to better partner and support the delivery of key business results and keep up with the macro trends that are shaping the external world. This requires a shift in the capabilities as well as processes, systems and ways of working that are used across the function. The Regional Capability & Engagement Deployment Partners play a key role in developing and deploying both the strategies and the capability-building activities across all segments and ensuring ongoing embedding of capabilities at a regional level. The role plays a key part in change management and performance consulting for the Regional Leadership Team.
Key Responsibilities
Global Capability-Building Program Development (~40-50%)
Develop Global Learning Programs for Procurement:
Design & Build: Lead the creation of engaging training curriculum and materials for our global procurement team, covering everything from fundamental processes to advanced strategic skills.
Analyze Needs: Conduct skills assessments and partner with leaders to identify critical capability gaps and development opportunities.
Foster Community: Launch and nurture "Communities of Practice" to encourage knowledge-sharing and collaboration among procurement professionals.
Partner with Regional Leaders:
Strategic Alignment: Serve as a trusted advisor to procurement leadership in the APMEA region, ensuring our capability programs directly support key business goals.
Talent Development: Facilitate regional talent reviews and development discussions to build a strong pipeline of future procurement leaders.
Engage Stakeholders: Build strong relationships across the business to ensure our procurement strategies and training initiatives are understood and valued.

Lead one or two global capability-building initiatives designed to enhance Commercial Associate development and proficiency in policies, processes, tools, and skills.

Activities may include designing and developing curriculum tailored to business needs, developing or conducting skills assessments to identify areas for improvement, managing Communities of Practice that foster knowledge sharing and collaboration or driving new engagement with new tools

Ensure alignment of these initiatives with broader organizational goals and facilitate regular feedback from leaders and participants for continuous improvement.
Regional Cross-Segment Leadership Facilitation (~30-40%):

Co-Pilot & Business Partner for the Regional Commercial Leadership Team (x-segment)

Lead x-segment talent initiatives with the team, managing TDRs, MDRs, and Talent spotlights to promote cross-segment visibility and a strong regional talent pipeline.

Develop and implement the One Commercial Agenda for the region, fostering formal/informal x-segment collaboration, shared learnings, events, communications, and maintaining relevant metrics.

Input regional perspective to global cross-segment communications.

Conduct annual reviews across the One Commercial Priorities, assess performance, and highlight gaps for the Regional CLT review and action.
Regional Training Deployment (~20-30%):

Conduct needs analysis to identify key capability gaps and functional requirements within the region, ensuring appropriate support is provided.

Lead the annual planning process for the Commercial function at a regional level, including submitting curriculum needs and collaborating on deployment and budget requirements.

Plan and organise regional training activities, assesses the most effective upskilling methods for associates, and oversees communication and marketing efforts relating to capability development.
Drive Regional Excellence:
Deploy Training: Manage the end-to-end planning and rollout of the annual training calendar for the APMEA region, including scheduling and budget management.
Measure Impact: Track the effectiveness of training programs and use feedback to make continuous improvements.
Improve Processes: Identify opportunities to simplify and improve our procurement processes and tools, helping drive efficiency and user adoption.
Context and Scope
The scope of the role covers the cross-segment Commercial Procurement community across APMEA regions, working closely as a partner and co-pilot with the cross-segment Regional Commercial Procurement Leadership Team (comprised of the regional commercial procurement heads for each segment) to align and drive the priorities. In addition, the Associate in role will partner with the larger C&E Team as well as the full Capability, Risk and Compliance organization and Mars University to drive initiatives E2E.
Job Specifications/Qualifications

Experience: 5+ years in a strategic procurement or supply chain role. Crucially, you must have a demonstrated passion and experience in training, facilitation, or talent development.

Education: A Bachelor's degree is required; an advanced degree or a professional certification (like CIPS, CPP) is a strong plus.

Business Acumen: You understand how procurement drives business value and can easily connect with stakeholders at all levels.

Gift for Communication: You are an exceptional facilitator and presenter who can make complex topics simple and engaging for a diverse, global audience.

Strategic & Organized: You are a master planner who can juggle multiple complex projects, align stakeholders, and deliver results in a fast-paced environment.

Tech-Savvy: You are proficient with procurement platforms (e.g., Ariba, Coupa) and an expert in the Microsoft Office Suite.
