About the role

Job Description:

Context and Scope

Romania Pet Specialty Retailing (PSR) Head is responsible for deployment and execution of PSR strategy & priorities and deliver PSR KPIs in the market. The purpose of the role is to:

  • drive sales performance in PSR channel and ensure qualitative line management for the PSR team

  • manage, develop and support PSR sales team in delivering aligned sales & qualitative KPIs

increase Royal Canin product sales, market share, brand awareness and costumer’s loyalty to Royal Canin brand

  • Higher education (University) degree

  • Fluency in English.

Knowledge / Experience

  • 5+ years people management experience.

  • 5+ years’ experience in Field Sales, Key Account Management or

  • Experience within FMCG or PETCARE or PHARMA industry

  • IT literate.

  • Drivers licence (B).

Key Responsibilitie Sales & Commercial Performance

  • Deliver on Pet Specialty Retail performance KPIs (Net Sales Value, volume, gross profit, operating income) for both offline and online channels at the market level.

  • Hold P&L accountability for trade terms and promotional spending within the PSR channel.

  • Develop and lead sales activations in the PSR channel, with support from the Cluster General Manager and the CEE PSR Director.

  • Deploy and enhance sales tools to ensure maximum efficiency and excellent execution within the PSR channel.

  • Create new tools and processes to guarantee executional excellence of Royal Canin's e-commerce and in-store presence.

  • Manage the pricing strategy for the PSR product range in the market, adhering to Strategic Revenue Management team guidelines to ensure a healthy P&L.

  • Implement the PSR trade terms framework in the market, in alignment with EU/Cluster guidelines.

  • In collaboration with the Portfolio Management team, conduct PSR range analysis and propose market-level changes.

Strategy & Planning

  • Adapt and implement global, regional, and cluster-level PSR strategies and priorities, tailoring them to the local market context.

  • Develop and execute the most efficient Route-to-Market strategy for the PSR channel.

  • Lead the co-creation of annual promotional and activation plans for the PSR channel.

Stakeholder Management

  • Represent market in the PSR Operations Planning process at cluster and regional level

  • Functionally represent the PSR channel within the Cluster Management Team, demonstrating strong business and people’s leadership, enterprise-wide mindset within short and long term perspective

  • Collaborate effectively across departments (at cluster & regional level) to achieve common company goals.

Team Leadership & Development

  • Manage, develop, and support the PSR sales team to achieve their sales, qualitative objectives and personal development objectives.

  • Build a strong talent pipeline within the PSR team, ensuring succession in place.
