Job Description:
There is an exciting opportunity to join the R&D team within the innovation function as the Senior Product Development Analyst (see comments on job title). The purpose of this role is to own the product development program and drive the successful execution of innovation and renovation activities in line with performance, cost, nutrition and timing targets.What are we looking for?
- Degree in Food Science, Engineering or Chemistry is essential.
- Experience in a Food Manufacturing environment working in Quality, Food Safety, Engineering or Product/Process development
- Excellent Project Management skills and ability to work to tight deadlines
- Proven track record of building collaborative, cross-functional business relationships
What will be your key responsibilities?
- Plan and lead new product development and/or product renovation projects within the R&D function.
- Collaborate to create product development briefs and translate into (Transform product development briefs into) final product propositions whilst aligning with the cross-functional project teams
- Form key partnerships with Marketing to deliver value added propositions to consumers and excite stakeholders with novel or trending products
- Generate prototypes at pilot scale to share with stakeholders and consumers
- Provide product solutions that can be implemented in our factories and meet business targets in relation to product performance, quality and cost.
- Own product performance, recipe costs and nutritional profiles whilst supporting the benchmarking program on key products in specific markets
- Work in collaboration with Sensory and Consumer scientist on the quantification and description of Key Quality Attributes.
- Use and promote the use of state of the art product development tools and systems to leverage the latest flavour and ingredient technologies.
