The Digital Products, Platforms & Services team is a newly formed team sits within Growth, Digital & Platforms (GDP) global function and is responsible for designing, developing & rolling out state-of-the-art digital products across brands, regions & divisions globally and help our brands accelerate organic growth.

THE JOB:

We are seeking an experienced and proactive Sr. Software Engineer with deep expertise in content-related tools such as DAM, PXM, PIM, CMS, and brand guidelines platforms. This role is part of our Content ecosystem team, where you will help define, build, and leverage foundational practices and standards across the tools we use to deliver a seamless experience to our end users.

As key member of the Content product technical team, you will collaborate closely with engineers, product owners, leads, and the broader scrum team to drive forward the development and integration of content technologies. Your role will focus on developing scalable, tool-agnostic solutions/guidelines that ensure consistency and flexibility within our ecosystem.

This role requires extensive knowledge building and improving products using SaaS tools, integrating them and providing agnostic baselines to make the ecosystem consistent, scalable and decoupled from specific tools. Hand-on experience developing REST APIs, micro services and custom integrations on Azure Cloud will be also very valuable.

Experience with Digital Asset Management (DAM) systems -particularly Aprimo- is a strong plus. A deep understanding of DAM architecture and its integration within broader marketing and content workflows will be a key to success in this role. You will work closely with stakeholders across Mars Petcare to tailor our DAM product to meet the needs of global brands and segments.

What are we looking for?

• Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or a related field. Advanced degree preferred.

• 5+ years developing with SaaS tools.

• Should have prior hands-on software development, with proficiency in some programming languages such as Javascript, Python, Kotlin, or Java is a plus.

• Experience designing and developing integrations architecture.

• Strong understanding of backend frameworks and libraries (e.g., Django, Express.js). Certification is a plus

• MUST HAVE

• Experience configuring, evolving and maintaining products with SaaS tools.

• Hands-on expertise and proficient use of RESTful API design principles and best practices is required

• Strong hands-on experience with cloud platforms such as AWS, Azure, or Google Cloud Platform

• Experience with containerization and orchestration technologies (e.g., Docker, Kubernetes) is a plus

• Experience with version control systems (e.g., Git) and CI/CD pipelines.

• Excellent problem-solving skills and attention to detail.

• Strong communication and collaboration skills, with the ability to work effectively in a team environment

• Experience with Aprimo or other DAM preferred.

• Attention to detail in documenting technical specifications and data-related workflows.

• Ability to communicate complex technical concepts to non-technical stakeholders.

• Ability to work independently and prioritize multiple tasks in a fast-paced environment

• What will be your key responsibilities?

• • Implement best practices for development and configuration, including code quality, scalability, security, and performance optimization.

• Collaborate with engineers, product managers, and other stakeholders to define requirements and prioritize feature development

• Foster a collaborative culture that encourages continuous learning and improvement in a high-performance team.

• Monitor and report on key performance indicators (KPIs) related to Content activities, providing insights and recommendations for continuous improvement.

• Communicate technical concepts to non-technical stakeholders, ensuring clear understanding and buy-in.

• Partner with external vendors and service providers to enhance the DAM&MRM capabilities.

• Integrate backend systems with third-party APIs, services, and databases.

• Optimize backend code/configurations for performance, scalability, and maintainability.

• Participate in test strategy to ensure the reliability and correctness of backend code.

• Participate in code reviews, provide constructive feedback, and mentor junior team members.

• Stay current on backend development trends, best practices, and emerging technologies.

• Troubleshoot and debug backend issues, working closely with cross-functional teams to resolve technical challenges

• Work closely with product managers, software engineers, and other stakeholders to define requirements and prioritize feature development

• Collaborate with stakeholders to prioritize Content features, functionalities, and enhancements.

• Participate in project meetings and contribute to project coordination efforts.

• Document your work in a clean, concise manner to be consumed by your colleagues in a way that speaks of your attention to the details

• You and your Content squad /team will deliver some key capabilities such as (not limited to)

Marketing resource management:

• You will participate in the design and development of the digital asset workflows in a multi-brand global company since the brief to the final approval.

Add new Brand hub tool:

• You will understand how a brand guidelines tool works, ensuring its integration inside the current ecosystem and being one of the technical experts configuring it and creating best practices.

Content guidelines:

• Your team and you will create an agnostic engineering guidelines that will help developers to configure the SaaS tools in a safe, scalable, consistent way.

DAM integration:

• You will participate in the technical audit to enhance current integrations and participate in the design of new integrations against our DAM.

Bulk upload:

• Your team and you will design, develop and deploy a custom web application that enables large-scale asset uploads to our DAM platform. This solution will streamline the content submission process and enhance the overall customer experience across all our current markets.

AI capabilities:

• Your DAM product and you will explore how AI can be integrated into the DAM product to support our brands in the creation, management, and consumption of digital assets within Aprimo.

CICD improvements:

• You will contribute to enhance our deployment processes by introducing innovations to our deployment process.

A/B Testing and Optimization:

• You will be tests different paths and messages and timings & triggers within journeys, thus optimizing the consumer experience with data & insights

SaaS expert team:

• You will be trained in all our current SaaS and, along the technical lead and solution architect will be the technical experts and the owners of the platforms.
