Job Description:
The Care and Treats Operator provides Mars Petcare Mattoon with the knowledge and skills to effectively and safely package high-quality finished products according to Quality standards and production schedules. This is to provide our customers with the proper product at the appropriate destination in a timely and cost-effective manner.

Ability and willingness to develop and manage self, demonstrate self-directed workgroup leadership, and contribute to efficiency, quality, and cost optimization with minimal supervision.

Minimum High School diploma or above

Ability to lift 50 lbs.

Ability to operate a forklift safely.
-
Ability to work rotating shifts under stressful conditions such as heat, cold, high, and/or confined spaces and have full mobility with the ability to climb ladders and stairs.
What will be your key responsibilities?
Performs all of the following duties on a modified 3X5 rotational basis working 12-hour shifts in the Care and Treat packaging hall: Line operation - run to schedule, do changeovers, troubleshoot lines.

Flow wrapper
-
KHS and Roberts FF&S

Somic case packers
-
Palletizers
-
Perform required quality checks and reporting.

Monitor product flow to line

Meet cut-off and tone requirements.

Enter work orders into the MIS system as needed and support maintenance on calls.
Maintain a clean, safe work environment that promotes associate safety and product integrity. Will actively address food safety and quality concerns Improve operations through individual and group problem-solving and provide leadership in solving problems on the floor and in meetings. Promote high quality team environment through effective teamwork and self-management with a positive attitude.

The base pay range for this position at commencement of employment is between the range listed below, however, base pay offered may vary depending on multiple individualized factors, including but not limited to job-related knowledge, skills, and experience. The total compensation package for this position will include variable pay, medical and dental benefits, participation in 401k plan, and paid time off benefits. Details of participation in these benefit plans will be provided if an applicant receives an offer of employment.
