Position Summary

This Marketing Analyst position is part of the Fuels Value Chain North Mid Con Region coordination team located in Findlay, Ohio. The role supports Mid Con Region field personnel and management as well as collaborating broadly across the Commercial organization, Central Support, and other internal business partners including Accounting and IT.

This position is part of a job family with multiple grade levels. The successful candidate will be placed at a level commensurate with experience and qualifications.

Key Responsibilities

• Develops and implements reporting for the assigned business unit, consisting of various reporting responsibilities ranging from short-term (daily) to monthly and annual comparisons.

• Assists marketing field members with ad-hoc analysis, forecasting, contract analysis, deal setup, and financial model analysis. Supports the field with daily, weekly, and monthly allocation/analysis requests. Supports budget and other internal processes as needed.

• Maintains and recommends improved procedures for handling sales forecasting, sales reporting, and other analytical data.

• Assists management and business partners in the ongoing development and analysis of data necessary to measure profitability of various classes of trade and markets.

• Works in the Salesforce application to address cases created by customers, and submits and evaluates opportunities, operational changes and addresses other internal requests as necessary.

• Supports troubleshooting efforts related to customer price disputes and loading issues in accordance with region field personnel.

• Understands industry trends, regulations, economic conditions, commercial and consumer needs, as well as current MPC marketing strategies and business opportunities.

• Supports strategies to enhance commercial value. Maintains positive customer relationships and promptly addresses customer concerns.

• Supports business process improvement ideas that create internal process efficiencies and/or reduce transactional or administrative costs for customers.

Education and Experience

• Bachelor’s degree in Marketing, Business, Finance, or other related discipline required or five (5) years of experience in lieu.

• Two (2) or more years of experience in Analytics, Pricing, Fuel Marketing Sales, Revenue and Profitability Management, or other related experience required.
