Custom House Brokerage Team Leader

Key responsibilities

Manage vendors to ensure timely customs declarations, adherence to KPIs, and full compliance with company SOPs.

Drive process efficiency by monitoring and improving the Right First Time (RFT) declaration rate.

Oversee OGA-related scope, including the issuance and governance of B2B Certificates of Origin (COO) and Certificates of Non-Manipulation (CNM).

Conduct internal compliance health checks to proactively identify and mitigate risks ahead of official customs audits.

Provide technical guidance and mentorship to customs teams on complex HS code classifications and valuation methods.

Monitor changes in customs regulations and communicate updates clearly to all relevant stakeholders (internal, external, and customers).

Demonstrate strong working knowledge of K1, K2, K8, K9, ZB, and FTA declaration processes.

Ensure the efficient and timely clearance of shipments while delivering high-quality support within the customs house brokerage function.

Enforce full compliance with the company’s high-performance standards, particularly in customer service delivery.
We’re looking for

Minimum 5–8 years of experience in customs brokerage management.

Fluency in English and local dialects where applicable.

Strong computer literacy.

Possession of at least a Professional Certificate, Diploma, Advanced/Higher/Graduate Diploma, Bachelor’s Degree, Postgraduate Diploma, or Professional Degree in Logistics/Transportation, Business Studies, Administration, Management, or an equivalent field.

Minimum 3 years of hands-on experience in customs house brokerage or a related field.

Strong understanding of customs processes in Malaysia.

Solid knowledge of Malaysian customs regulations and laws, including HS codes, Certificates of Origin (C/O), and customs privileges or exemptions.
Applicants must be willing to work in Port Klang Free Zone (PKFZ).
