Key Responsibilities

Designs the position of boxes on the ship and produces a layout that is seaworthy which means safe to sail, which include dangerous goods are segregated safely, bays are set-up to allow maximum number of cranes to work on it, weight is evenly distributed, stability and stresses and safety criteria are met.

Upholding high standards of stowage planning to ensure safe and maximum vessel utilisation with minimum operational costs

Follow through the entire stowage process with stakeholders at any time of the day where the ships are

Evaluating and determining the suitability of vessels deployed in the service based on trade requirements and vessel characteristics

Constantly reviewing and updating SOPs to ensure optimal performance for the team and all stakeholders involved

Working closely with the various internal and external stakeholders (terminals, regional operations, ship commands, nautical, network, deployment etc) to ensure smooth operations

Identify all potential issues which may affect operations, highlighting and following up with the necessary actions to prevent/mitigate any impact from contingencies
We are looking for
Candidates with around 3 years of experience in:

Stowage planning

Terminal planning

Container shipping operations
-
Seafaring
-
Naval Architect / Engineer
We welcome graduates from Maritime Studies or any STEM discipline (Science, Technology, Engineering, and Mathematics), as their analytical thinking and problem-solving skills are highly valued in our dynamic environment
This role generally follows non-standard working hours, with a rotational night shift occurring approximately once every six weeks (when required), to support vessel operations during key berthing windows.
We are looking for individuals who are self-driven, responsible, and thrive in fast-paced, dynamic environments. Strong time management, adaptability, and agility are essential, along with excellent communication and teamwork skills to coordinate with diverse stakeholders across cultures.
Candidates must also be agile to learn to new technology and operating systems, as the role requires mastering multiple programs and software. Comprehensive training will be provided, and successful candidates must complete both the Basic Theory and Basic Stowage Proficiency Assessments.
