about this team

The Marketing Activations Team sits under the Marketing Technology and Brand department. The department owns the platforms, data pipelines, and systems that power lululemon’s global marketing capabilities across digital, lifecycle, personalization, measurement, and experimentation. This team sits at the intersection of customer experience, data, and growth, enabling scalable, compliant, and insight-driven engagement across regions and channels.

As the Global Marketing Activations Technology Manager, you will play a key role in scaling our customer data platform (CDP) to enable guest-centric experiences across email, push, SMS, and paid social channels.

core responsibilities

  • Partner with business stakeholders to define and execute the post‑migration Hightouch (CDP) roadmap across all regions
  • Collaborate with business partners to plan and deliver email, push, and SMS roadmap initiatives globally
  • Manage Data Engineers, Application Engineers for Salesforce Marketing Cloud and Hightouch, and QAs to collaborate with business partners and external vendors setting
  • Ensure the right skills are applied to the right problems by providing empathetic coaching, technical mentorship, skills development, and career path leadership.
  • Drive the delivery of software that meets business and technical requirements and is resilient, observable, performant, secure, and maintainable.
  • Lead the resolution of production incidents and platform issues in alignment with incident, problem, and change management standards, ensuring operational excellence and stability. Conduct RCA analysis and present to senior stakeholders.
  • Build strong partnerships with stakeholders across global markets to drive alignment, transparency, and execution across business and technology teams
  • Track and manage application subscription(s) to ensure we do not incur overages
  • Own vendor/partner strategy; negotiate and optimize total cost of ownership with Procurement and Finance without sacrificing capability.
  • Anticipate future needs and constraints, proactively addressing technical debt, scale limits, and integration complexity before they become blockers.

qualifications

  • 10+ years in application/platform/enterprise technology
  • 4+ years in managing an engineering team, developing high-performing engineering leaders and inclusive teams; effective at hiring, coaching, and performance management.
  • Hands-on familiarity with modern Mar Tech stacks (e.g., Salesforce Marketing Cloud, Validity, Hightouch, Azure, Databricks, Snowflake).
  • Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science/Engineering or equivalent practical experience

**Compensation and Benefits Package **

lululemon’s compensation offerings are grounded in a pay-for-performance philosophy that recognizes exceptional individual and team performance. The typical hiring range for this position is from $131,100-$172,100  annually; the base pay offered is based on market location and may vary depending on job-related knowledge, skills, experience, and internal equity. As part of our total rewards offering, permanent employees in this position may be eligible for our competitive annual bonus program, subject to program eligibility requirements.
