About this team

In addition to your primary team, project, or portfolio you will be supported by a diverse Architecture Community of Practice, which provides learning and governance resources to all architects and will help you build a strong and robust practice of leadership grounded in technical proficiency, innovative thinking and empathy.

Core responsibilities

As a Staff Solution Architect, you will partner with business and technology teams to guide solution architectures that enable priority business capabilities and outcomes. You will provide architectural leadership for significant technology initiatives, guiding solution design, system selection, and build-versus-buy decisions while ensuring alignment with domain and enterprise architectural standards. You will collaborate closely with domain and enterprise architects to ensure consistency and interoperability across solutions, provide architectural guidance during delivery to ensure intent is realized, and drive solution-level modernization and platform evolution. You also contribute to architectural standards and develop solution architecture capability through mentoring, knowledge sharing, and hands-on guidance.

Select responsibilities include:

  • Partner with business and technology leaders to understand needs and shape solution architecture roadmaps
  • Design complex, multi-system solutions aligned with enterprise and domain architectural standards
  • Lead architectural decisions for major initiatives, modernization efforts, and platform evolution
  • Guide delivery teams to ensure solutions are implemented as intended by the architecture
  • Evaluate solution options and recommend fit-for-purpose designs based on trade-offs and constraints
  • Define, apply, and evolve solution architecture standards, patterns, and reference architectures
  • Mentor architects and engineers on complex solution design challenges

Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Software Engineering, Information Systems, or equivalent experience; Master’s degree preferred
  • 9-12 years of solution architecture, software development, systems engineering, or technical consulting experience, or equivalent
  • Proven experience designing complex, cross-system architectural solutions with extensive integrations and multi-year architectural runway
  • Track record of researching emerging technologies and evaluating solution portfolio options with significant cost and capability impact; experience leading technology selection for solution portfolios
  • Deep understanding of interconnected business processes and technology capabilities across solution portfolios; demonstrated ability to connect architectural decisions to business transformation
  • Experience managing delivery risks across solution portfolios and influencing organizational delivery practices; familiarity with designing architectures that account for complexity and portfolio sequencing
  • Proven ability to create strategic architectural narratives for complex solutions and communicate architectural concepts to senior stakeholders including VPs
  • Strong understanding of AI/ML security concepts, including secure model lifecycle management, AI governance, model risk, and emerging threats specific to AI systems.
  • Proven experience designing security controls aligned to global regulatory and privacy frameworks (e.g., GDPR, CCPA, SOX, PCI, NIST) within data and analytics platforms.
