Description:

Develops, modifies, applies and maintains quality evaluation and control systems and protocols for processing materials into partially finished or finished materials product. Collaborates with engineering and manufacturing functions to ensure quality standards are in place. Devises and implements methods and procedures for inspecting, testing and evaluating the precision and accuracy of products and production equipment. Designs and analyzes inspection and testing processes, mechanisms and equipment; conducts quality assurance tests; and performs statistical analysis to assess the cost of and determine the responsibility for, products or materials that do not meet required standards
and specifications. Ensures that corrective measures meet acceptable reliability standards and that documentation is compliant with requirements. May specialize in the areas of design, incoming material, production control, product evaluation and reliability, inventory control and/or research and development as they apply to product or process quality. May be certified in lean and six-sigma quality engineering methodologies.
Collaborates with Engineering and Global Supply Chain for performance at suppliers of scheduled product source inspections, first articles, and product validations as outlined by AS9102 and applicable company and industry standards. Provide internal and supplier support for root cause and corrective/preventive actions. Support Supplier requests tied to program requirements, interface with customer needs and program management activities. Participate (as required) in supplier's failure/diagnosis and Material Review Board (MRB) activities.

Basic Qualifications:

Related degree at the Bachelor level or above or equivalent combined education/experience
US Citizen: Must have the ability to obtain a security clearance
Engineering or Quality experience developing methods, work instructions and procedures for the inspection of manufactured and procured products
Able to interpret drawings and specifications to develop and apply quality test and inspection methods and able to translate into work instructions and / or PO notes.
Demonstrated ability to use causal analysis tools
to analyze and resolve technical / process issues varying from basic to very complex.
Prior Leadership experience leading a team
Experience in disposition of non-conforming products
Experience in establishing Performance Metrics for identifying process improvement

Proficient skill level with Microsoft Office applications: Word, Excel, PowerPoint, etc.

Ability to Work Remotely:

Part-time Remote Telework: The employee selected for this position will work part of their work schedule remotely and part of their work schedule at a designated Lockheed Martin facility. The specific weekly schedule will be discussed during the hiring process.

Work Schedules:

Lockheed Martin supports a variety of alternate work schedules that provide additional flexibility to our employees. Schedules range from standard 40 hours over a five day work week while others may be condensed. These condensed schedules provide employees with additional time away from the office and are in addition to our Paid Time off benefits.
