Aircraft Electrician, F-22 - Level 4
Description:
Come join Lockheed Martin in The Last Frontier! We are currently seeking a dedicated Aircraft Electrician to join our dynamic team, focusing on the F-22 aircraft. The vast wilderness of Alaska offers a virtually unlimited playground for the outdoor enthusiast, while nearby Anchorage provides the same amenities you would find in any large city. This position is located at Joint Base Elmendorf-Richardson, Alaska supporting the F-22 modification line. This pivotal role involves a broad spectrum of responsibilities.
What You Will Be Doing:
Some of the job requirements & responsibilities include but are not limited to:

Services, repairs, and overhauls F-22 aircraft electrical & avionics systems to ensure airworthiness.

Repairs, replaces, and rebuilds aircraft electrical/avionics system and components.

Incorporate engineering changes. Replaces and repairs worn or damaged components.

Adjusts, repairs, and replaces electrical wiring system and aircraft accessories.

Performs operational checks, pre & post modification/upgrade/overhaul testing, troubleshoots and repairs electrical and avionics systems on aircraft as required.

Work typically requires a detailed understanding of the interrelationships of electrical/avionics circuits and components.

Uses complex test instruments and computer control equipment.

Work may be reviewed by supervisor for general compliance with accepted practices, may provide technical guidance.

Selected candidate will have experience with understanding technical requirements on fighter type aircraft.

Candidate must be able to read and interpret engineering drawings, technical manuals, structure repair manuals, understanding symbols, flags, and general notes. Identify aircraft locations by station, butt-line, and waterline as shown on engineering documentation and technical orders.

Further Information About This Opportunity:
MUST BE A U.S. CITIZEN – This position is located at a facility that requires special access. The selected candidate must possess an interim clearance to start and have the ability to obtain a Final Secret Clearance. Must be available to work a flexible schedule as required to keep aircraft modifications on schedule. Candidate must be able to work in a safe and efficient manner while maintaining a clean, FOD-free work area. Domestic travel may be required.
Physical Requirements:
This position may include certain military required health screenings and immunizations. Position may also require extended work hours. Regularly required to lift up to 50 pounds and perform repetitive movements, work overhead, use hands to grasp, handle, and/or feel, reach with hands and arms. The employee is frequently required to stand, walk, stoop, kneel, squat, crawl, and twist. Confined Space Entry.
IF ELIGIBLE, PROJECT PREMIUM IS AVAILABLEBasic Qualifications:
4+ years of aircraft avionics/electrical experience
2+ years reading and interpreting blueprints
Previously awarded a US Air Force 5/7 Skill Level in a related AFSC (or equivalent Army MOS/Navy NEC/Marine MOS rating), or an FAA Airframe & Powerplant Certificate
Desired Skills:
F-22, F-35, F-16, F-15, F-18 or similar aircraft avionics/electrical experience
Experienced in Tool Control, FOD, Supply, HAZMAT, Training, Quality, and Security programs
Aircraft modifications
Nose-to-tail maintenance concept
Security Clearance Statement:
This position requires a government security clearance, you must be a US Citizen for consideration.

Ability to Work Remotely:
Onsite Full-time: The work associated with this position will be performed onsite at a designated Lockheed Martin facility.
Work Schedules:
Lockheed Martin supports a variety of alternate work schedules that provide additional flexibility to our employees. Schedules range from standard 40 hours over a five day work week while others may be condensed. These condensed schedules provide employees with additional time away from the office and are in addition to our Paid Time off benefits.
Schedule for this Position:
4x10 hour day, 3 days off per week
