We are seeking a highly skilled and dynamic technical writer to join our Next Gen Geo (NGG) Operations and Sustainment team. As a key member of this team, you will play a critical role in driving operational excellence and optimizing processes.
Key Responsibilities
• Collaborate with O&S team members to understand their documentation needs and operational procedures, identifying opportunities for improvement and standardization
• Develop and write high-quality, user-friendly documents that meet the needs of various stakeholders, including process owners, employees, and customers
• Revise, edit, and update existing processes and procedures to ensure they remain current, compliant, and effective
• Coordinate with cross-functional teams to ensure seamless integration and alignment of processes and procedures across the organization
• Provide constructive feedback and recommendations for continuous improvement
• Participate in project team meetings and meet deadlines with support of team leads
• Integrate with the Project Engineering team and contribute to project engineering objectives as assigned
Basic Qualifications:
• Experience in technical writing, policy development, or a related field.
• Strong interpersonal, written, and oral communication skills
• Ability to work independently and as part of a team, including virtual teams, as required
• Ability to meet deadlines and quality standards
• Ability to obtain a SECRET clearance

• Proven ability to create clear, concise, and comprehensive documents that meet the needs of diverse stakeholders
• Excellent communication and collaboration skills, with experience working with subject matter experts and multi-functional teams
• Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, with the ability to identify areas for improvement and develop effective solutions
• Ability to author technical content for procedure manuals, services manuals, and related technical publications that describe installation, operation and maintenance of electronic, electrical, mechanical, and other equipment.
• Ability to author technical content that adheres to required standards, style guidance, contract requirements, and using clear and concise language.

Ability to Work Remotely: Onsite Full-time: The work associated with this position will be performed onsite at a designated Lockheed Martin facility.
Work Schedules: Lockheed Martin supports a variety of alternate work schedules that provide additional flexibility to our employees. Schedules range from standard 40 hours over a five day work week while others may be condensed. These condensed schedules provide employees with additional time away from the office and are in addition to our Paid Time off benefits.
Schedule for this Position: 9x80 every other Friday off
Pay Rate: The annual base salary range for this position in California, Massachusetts, and New York (excluding most major metropolitan areas), Colorado, Hawaii, Illinois, Maryland, Minnesota, New Jersey, Vermont, Washington or Washington DC is $70,100 - $123,625. For states not referenced above, the salary range for this position will reflect the candidate’s final work location. Please note that the salary information is a general guideline only. Lockheed Martin considers factors such as (but not limited to) scope and responsibilities of the position, candidate's work experience, education/ training, key skills as well as market and business considerations when extending an offer.

Represented full time employees accrue 6.67 hours of Vacation per month; accrue up to 52 hours of sick leave annually; receive at least 96 hours for holidays. PTO, Vacation, sick leave, and holiday hours are prorated based on start date during the calendar year.
This position is incentive plan eligible.
