The Work
Lockheed Martin is seeking an experienced Hardware Engineering Lead / Integrated Product Team Lead to join our Mission Systems team. In this senior role, you will play a key part in the development of Advanced Processing systems and subsystems, supporting all aspects of hardware development from requirements derivation through product integration. You’ll lead efforts to ensure the technical integrity, quality, and completeness of work, ensuring that project deliverables meet cost and schedule commitments. You will also utilize Digital Transformation practices, including model-based engineering, test automation, and Agile development, to define product capabilities and drive innovation.
Key responsibilities include:
- Supporting overall organizational process compliance, including management of the Hardware Development Process Implementation.
- Leading product development activities and providing technical guidance.
- Coordination of card and unit level design, development, integration, test, and debug including hardware, software, and firmware components.
- Ensuring the technical integrity and completeness of deliverables.
- Managing customer interfaces and coordinating with multiple stakeholders.
- Leveraging Digital Transformation tools to enhance development processes.

This position is fulltime onsite in Owego, NY.
This position requires the ability to obtain and maintain a DoD government security clearance at Secret level.

Basic Qualifications:
- Bachelors degree in Electrical, Mechanical, Computer, or System Engineering or a related discipline, with 9 years or more of professional experience; or 7 years of professional experience with a related Masters degree.
- Experience coordinating card or unit level design, integration, test, and debug including hardware, software, and firmware components.
- Strong Leadership experience including leading cross functional teams.
- Experience with process reviews, audits and compliance
- Experience with laboratory work / testing with analog, RF, or digital hardware, including practical experience with network analyzers, logic analyzers, and spectrum analyzers.
- Ability to obtain and maintain a government DoD security clearance to at least the Secret level.
Desired Skills:
- DOD customer experience
- Experience with designing / developing / integrating advanced processing systems
- Circuit card design experience.
- Control Account and Project Management Experience. CAM Certification a plus.
- Experience working in classified environments
- Experience leading Integrated Product Teams
- Experience with DO-178, DO-254 and ARP-4754 processes
- Exceptional communication skills, both written and oral, and ability to brief technical / program information to internal and external audiences

Work Schedules: Lockheed Martin supports a variety of alternate work schedules that provide additional flexibility to our employees. Schedules range from standard 40 hours over a five day work week while others may be condensed. Schedule for this Position: 4x10 hour day, 3 days off per week
Pay Rate: The annual base salary range for this position in California, Massachusetts, and New York (excluding most major metropolitan areas), Colorado, Hawaii, Illinois, Maryland, Minnesota, New Jersey, Vermont, Washington or Washington DC is $109,200 - $192,510. For states not referenced above, the salary range for this position will reflect the candidate’s final work location. Please note that the salary information is a general guideline only. Lockheed Martin considers factors such as (but not limited to) scope and responsibilities of the position, candidate's work experience, education/ training, key skills as well as market and business considerations when extending an offer.
Benefits offered: Medical, Dental, Vision, Life Insurance, Short-Term Disability, Long-Term Disability, 401(k) match, Flexible Spending Accounts, EAP, Education Assistance, Parental Leave, Paid time off, and Holidays.
(Washington state applicants only) Non-represented full-time employees: accrue at least 10 hours per month of Paid Time Off (PTO) to be used for incidental absences and other reasons; receive at least 90 hours for holidays. Represented full time employees accrue 6.67 hours of Vacation per month; accrue up to 52 hours of sick leave annually; receive at least 96 hours for holidays. PTO, Vacation, sick leave, and holiday hours are prorated based on start date during the calendar year.
This position is incentive plan eligible.
Pay Rate: The annual base salary range for this position in most major metropolitan areas in California, Massachusetts, and New York is $125,600 - $217,695. For states not referenced above, the salary range for this position will reflect the candidate’s final work location. Please note that the salary information is a general guideline only.
