The successful candidate works directly with program managers, organizational leadership, operations, and engineering to ensure successful execution of manufacturing for space RF payloads.
This requires working with several different organizations to coordinate planning and resolve issues and maintain cost/schedule goals. Work tasks include review and sign-off of engineering drawings from a design-for-manufacturing perspective.
Participate in long-range capital planning. Provide regular assessments of a program's progress toward manufacturing readiness, and occasionally travel to customer meetings to present progress and recommendations.
Basic Qualifications:

• Facile understanding of manufacturing requirements for circuit cards and electromechanical assemblies in the space environment.

• Extensive experience in the equipment, tools and processes required to design, build, and assemble complex space systems within an AS9100 quality management system.

• Experience evaluating manufacturing flow to reduce bottlenecks, rework, and improve process yield.

• Ability to lead a project to production readiness culminating in preparing and presenting a Manufacturing Readiness Review to the customer.

• Ability to obtain & maintain a security clearance
  Desired Skills:

• Active TS/SCI security clearance

• Cross-Functional Collaboration: Partner with Design, Manufacturing, and Supply Chain teams to ensure smooth production transitions.

• Incorporate inspection and test requirements into the production plan.

• Oversee development of manufacturing processes that are applicable to statistical process control, and may develop those techniques.

• Provides guidance to engineering regarding design concepts and specification requirements to best utilize equipment and manufacturing techniques.

• Reviews design drawings for manufacturability, specifically machinability and mechanical assembly

Onsite Full-time: The work associated with this position will be performed onsite at a designated Lockheed Martin facility.
Work Schedules:

Lockheed Martin supports a variety of alternate work schedules that provide additional flexibility to our employees. Schedules range from standard 40 hours over a five day work week while others may be condensed. These condensed schedules provide employees with additional time away from the office and are in addition to our Paid Time off benefits.

Pay Rate:

The annual base salary range for this position in California, Massachusetts, and New York (excluding most major metropolitan areas), Colorado, Hawaii, Illinois, Maryland, Minnesota, New Jersey, Vermont, Washington or Washington DC is $138,100 - $243,455. For states not referenced above, the salary range for this position will reflect the candidate’s final work location. Please note that the salary information is a general guideline only. Lockheed Martin considers factors such as (but not limited to) scope and responsibilities of the position, candidate's work experience, education/ training, key skills as well as market and business considerations when extending an offer.

Represented full time employees accrue 6.67 hours of Vacation per month; accrue up to 52 hours of sick leave annually; receive at least 96 hours for holidays. PTO, Vacation, sick leave, and holiday hours are prorated based on start date during the calendar year.
This position is incentive plan eligible.
