Your Mission is Ours:

Lockheed Martin Aeronautics Company is seeking a Summer 2026 Security Intern. In this role you will support Aeronuatics Security Management staff at the Palmdale CA or Marietta GA facility in assisting in the analysis and research for industry, infrastructure, technology, country, geographic area, biographic and targeted vulnerability. Assist in preparing assessments of current events and suppliers based on the sophisticated collection, research, and analysis of open-source information. Assist in developing analytical procedures to meet changing requirements and ensure maximum operations. Collect data using a combination of standard intelligence methods and business processes.. Additionally, you will learn about the multi-disciplinary role of Security through development opportunities with Program Security and Compliance, Investigations, Operations, and Counterintelligence, and Classified Cyber Security. The successful candidate will have problem solving skills and a process-oriented mindset. Must be a US Citizen; This position is located at a facility that requires special access.

Basic Qualifications:

• Pursuing a bachelor's degree in criminology, criminal justice, homeland security, emergency management, international studies, or related discipline.
• Ability to research, analyze and review open source information to assess risk and produce finished assessment products.
• Proficiency in Microsoft Office applications (Word, Excel, PowerPoint, etc.).
• Must be a US Citizen; This position is located at a facility that requires special access.

Desired Skills:

Knowledge or experience applying AI/automation to threat intelligence use cases.

Knowledge or experience conducting online threat assessments.

Working knowledge of Microsoft Share Point, Teams, and Power Point

Ability to Work Remotely: Part-time Remote Telework: The employee selected for this position will work part of their work schedule remotely and part of their work schedule at a designated Lockheed Martin facility. The specific weekly schedule will be discussed during the hiring process.

Work Schedules: Lockheed Martin supports a variety of alternate work schedules that provide additional flexibility to our employees. Schedules range from standard 40 hours over a five day work week while others may be condensed. These condensed schedules provide employees with additional time away from the office and are in addition to our Paid Time off benefits.
Pay Rate: The annual base salary range for this position in California, Massachusetts, and New York (excluding most major metropolitan areas), Colorado, Hawaii, Illinois, Maryland, Minnesota, New Jersey, Vermont, Washington or Washington DC is $31,616 - $77,788. For states not referenced above, the salary range for this position will reflect the candidate’s final work location. Please note that the salary information is a general guideline only. Lockheed Martin considers factors such as (but not limited to) scope and responsibilities of the position, candidate's work experience, education/ training, key skills as well as market and business considerations when extending an offer.
