Come join Lockheed's Advanced Strategic Programs. This group of diverse Engineers has a long history of supporting the Air Force Mission reaching back to the 1960's. Today's challenge is to support the modernization of the Minuteman Weapon System by crafting, building, testing and deploying new Reentry Systems and Ground Equipment that will enable the new system to perform for many years to come. As a Systems Engineer for the Sentinel program you will directly help establish the technical solution and overall system design for one of our country's most vital and sophisticated strategic Systems!

As the Systems Engineer Lead for Model-Based Systems Engineering, you will:

  • Maintain and deliver system model in compliance with customer defined model profiles and standards
  • Lead a team of systems engineers through model development and maintenance, while coordinating status with control account manager
  • Perform system analysis and interface definition and management/execution using digital transformation tool suite
  • Maintain the model configuration

Basic Qualifications:

  • Significant experience in Systems Engineering, or related engineering field with detailed knowledge of Systems Engineering concepts and processes over the development and verification phases of a product lifecycle

  • Proficiency with Model Based Systems Engineering (MBSE) processes, principles, and tools (SysML/Cameo)

  • Active DoD Secret Clearance with ability to obtain Top Secret Clearance
    Desired Skills:

  • Missile or space segment design and test experience with one or more subsystems or disciplines outside of Systems Engineering

  • Coordinating with multiple key partners

  • Experience with US Air Force Weapon Systems Programs

  • Identifying, decomposing, allocating and verifying/validating requirements

  • Familiarity with Agile workflow patterns

  • Demonstrated behaviors of a systems thinker; selects and applies appropriate systems thinking skills to solve very complex problems and implement constructive change

  • Ability to build strong relationships with program internal and external customers, lead multi-functional teams and build consensus among peers

  • Excellent written and verbal communications skills, strong social skills, and ability to build consensus among peers while building solid relationships with team members

  • Experience with Requirements development and management processes, principles, and tools (DOORS), including functional analysis, allocation, and verification

  • Active Top Secret Clearance
    Security Clearance Statement:

Ability to Work Remotely:

Onsite Full-time: The work associated with this position will be performed onsite at a designated Lockheed Martin facility.
Work Schedules:

Lockheed Martin supports a variety of alternate work schedules that provide additional flexibility to our employees. Schedules range from standard 40 hours over a five day work week while others may be condensed. These condensed schedules provide employees with additional time away from the office and are in addition to our Paid Time off benefits.

9x80 every other Friday off
