Lockheed Martin Aeronautics is seeking a Summer 2026 Intern Software Engineer (Development Security and Operations. In this role, you will increase software performance and improve efficiencies with the software testing and delivery. The successful candidate will have experience and/or knowledge of software and have the ability to learn quickly. Must be a US Citizen.; This position will require a government security clearance.; This position is located at a facility that requires special access.

Basic Qualifications:

Pursing a degree in engineering (Software, Computer Science or related STEM field.
Basic knowledge of a programming language such as C++, Java, or Python

Desired Skills:

CI/CD Continuous Integration/Continuous Deployment Pipelines

Basic Knowledge of Git configuration management:

Relevant coursework of at least one programming class
Involvement in engineering clubs is a plus
Security Clearance Statement: This position requires a government security clearance, you must be a US Citizen for consideration.
Clearance Level: Secret

Work Schedules: Lockheed Martin supports a variety of alternate work schedules that provide additional flexibility to our employees. Schedules range from standard 40 hours over a five day work week while others may be condensed. These condensed schedules provide employees with additional time away from the office and are in addition to our Paid Time off benefits.
