Description: What You Will Be Doing:

• You will be the Aircraft Maintenance Engineer
• Level 1 as a part of the Sustainment Engineering Team which is responsible for delivering safe, reliable, and high‑performance aircraft solutions.

• As the Aircraft Maintenance Engineer
• Level 1 you will be responsible for translating complex aircraft requirements into practical engineering solutions, driving design enhancements, and ensuring compliance with safety and performance standards.
  Your responsibilities will include:
  -Plan, coordinate, and execute engineering assignments related to aircraft, engine, system, and component specifications and design changes.
  -Investigate operational problems, analyze project requirements, and develop recommended solutions that meet governmental safety and performance criteria, including Minimum Equipment List (MEL) compliance.
  -Evaluate, select, and adapt engineering modifications; design or recommend new or altered parts and components.
  -Analyze reparability and operating data to identify causes of wear, malfunctions, or premature removals and prescribe effective remedies
  -Prepare technical data, procedures, reports, drawings, manuals, and other required publications.

MUST BE A U.S. CITIZEN - This position is located at a facility that requires special access. The selected candidate must be able to obtain a secret clearance.

Basic Qualifications:

• Holds demonstrated Aircraft Maintenance experience. Holds at least 1 year of professional experience.

• Holds demonstrated problem-solving and technical skills.

• Holds Proficient skill level with Microsoft Office applications: Word, Excel, PowerPoint, etc.

Desired Skills:

• F-35 Aircraft Maintenance experience
• Strong written and verbal communications skills• SQL query experience
• Database administration experience
• Process Improvement experience
• This facility requires special access therefore, you must be a US Citizen
• Bachelors degree from an accredited college in a related discipline is good to have, but not required

Security Clearance Statement: This position requires a government security clearance, you must be a US Citizen for consideration.

Ability to Work Remotely: Part-time Remote Telework: The employee selected for this position will work part of their work schedule remotely and part of their work schedule at a designated Lockheed Martin facility. The specific weekly schedule will be discussed during the hiring process.

Work Schedules: Lockheed Martin supports a variety of alternate work schedules that provide additional flexibility to our employees. Schedules range from standard 40 hours over a five day work week while others may be condensed. These condensed schedules provide employees with additional time away from the office and are in addition to our Paid Time off benefits.

Schedule for this Position: 4x10 hour day, 3 days off per week
