About the role

Description:

You will be the Material Expediter (Level 1) for the Production, Planning and Control organization. Our team is responsible for scheduling and expediting part movement, coordinating inter‑departmental activity, and ensuring timely delivery to support manufacturing.

What You Will Be Doing

As the Material Expediter (Level 1) you will be responsible for managing the flow of materials across the production network.

Your responsibilities will include, but are not limited to:

  • Schedule and expedite move orders, stock transfers, and shipping requests.

  • Coordinate with quality assurance, manufacturing, purchasing, engineering, inventory control, traffic, and contracts administration.

  • Communicate with all production sites and vendor locations, including travel as needed.

  • Provide after‑hours support to meet production schedules.

  • Maintain accurate records of material status and resolve bottlenecks.

MUST BE A U.S. CITIZEN - This position is located at a facility that requires special access. The selected candidate must be able to obtain a Secret clearance.

Basic Qualifications:

  • Bachelors degree from an accredited college in
    a related discipline, or equivalent
    experience/combined education. Entry level.

  • Ability to obtain a security clearance

  • Demonstrated proficient knowledge of
    computer systems, databases, and programs

  • Demonstrate strong analytical, problem
    solving, and multitasking skills
    Desired Skills:

  • Inventory Control and material handling
    knowledge

  • Experience with material requirements and

  • Dock/Receiving/Warehouse/Shipping areas.

  • Black Belt trained / certified

  • Ability to understand engineering drawings and
    parts lists

  • APICS Certified in Production and Inventory

  • Management (CPIM) certification

  • SAP experience
    Security Clearance Statement:

This position requires a government security clearance, you must be a US Citizen for consideration.

Ability to Work Remotely:

Onsite Full-time: The work associated with this position will be performed onsite at a designated Lockheed Martin facility.
Work Schedules:

Lockheed Martin supports a variety of alternate work schedules that provide additional flexibility to our employees. Schedules range from standard 40 hours over a five day work week while others may be condensed. These condensed schedules provide employees with additional time away from the office and are in addition to our Paid Time off benefits.
Schedule for this Position:

4x10 hour day, 3 days off per week
