Ordnance Mechanic
Description:
The Ordnance Mechanic position requires the performance of work assignments associated with assembly and disassembly of missiles and their designated payloads.
Assist in/and or perform tasks related to missile operations such as package, unpackage, modification, repair, checkout, testing, movement, removal and installation of mechanical and electrical components, installation and removal of payloads and related operations.
Perform tasks directly supporting production operations as directed by immediate supervisors such as classified courier responsibilities, support equipment maintenance and inventory control.
Basic Qualifications:
Possess an entry level knowledge of product final assembly, disassembly, handling, and testing typically gained through a minimum of 12 months experience in an industrial environment or equivalent.
Familiarity in procedural disciplines and ability to follow a set of instructions.
Possess mechanical aptitude and the ability to use general purpose hand tools.
Ability to obtain and maintain a Top Secret Security Clearance. Must obtain an Interim Secret Security Clearance to start.
Ability to meet and maintain the requirements of the Personnel Reliability Program (PRP).
Desired Skills:
Demonstrated ability to work in teams
Demonstrated mechanical abilities should be considerable and readily apparent through the description of prior job experience
Knowledge of preventive and corrective maintenance systems
Basic computer skills

Ability to Work Remotely:
Onsite Full-time: The work associated with this position will be performed onsite at a designated Lockheed Martin facility.
Work Schedules:
Lockheed Martin supports a variety of alternate work schedules that provide additional flexibility to our employees. Schedules range from standard 40 hours over a five day work week while others may be condensed. These condensed schedules provide employees with additional time away from the office and are in addition to our Paid Time off benefits.
Schedule for this Position:
9x80 every other Friday off
The base range for this position in Washington is $35.92 - $48.98.

The wage range and benefits summary is a general guideline and is governed by the applicable collective bargaining agreement when extending an offer.
