Job Description
You will be a Supply / Buy Planner, or Demand / Bill of Materials (BOM) Planner for our Production, Planning, and Control organization. Our team is responsible for coordinating interdepartmental activity and scheduling the movement of parts to ensure timely and efficient production. We're looking for a highly organized and detail‑oriented individual to join our team in Orlando, FL.
What You Will Be Doing
As a Supply / Buy Planner, or Demand / Bill of Materials (BOM) Planner, you will be responsible for coordinating interdepartmental activity with various teams, including quality assurance, manufacturing, purchasing, engineering, inventory control, traffic, and contracts administration. You will schedule and expedite the movement of parts by means of move orders, stock transfers, and requests for shipping orders. You will also be required to communicate with all production sites and may need to work outside of normal operating hours.
Your responsibilities will include:

Coordinating interdepartmental activity with quality assurance, manufacturing, purchasing, engineering, inventory control, traffic, and contracts administration.

Scheduling and expediting the movement of parts by means of move orders, stock transfers, and requests for shipping orders.

Traveling and/or communicating with all production sites.

Working outside of normal operating hours as needed.

Collaborating with cross‑functional teams to ensure timely and efficient production.

Analyzing and resolving production scheduling issues.

Developing and implementing process improvements to increase efficiency and productivity.

MUST BE A U.S. CITIZEN – This position is located at a facility that requires special access.Basic Qualifications:

Demonstrated proficient knowledge of computer
systems, databases, and programs -
Excellent communication skills.

Demonstrated ability to work with multiple levels of Management, industry peers, a represented workforce and internal and external customers.

Possess knowledge of lean manufacturing
-
Demonstrate strong analytical, problem solving, and multitasking skills
-
Knowledge of Material Management and Accounting System (MMAS)
-
Must be able to work outside of the normal
operating hours, as required

Able to Understand and Interpret Engineering Drawings

SAP Experience

Supply Chain or Engineering background a plus

Ability to Work Remotely:
Onsite Full-time: The work associated with this position will be performed onsite at a designated Lockheed Martin facility.
Work Schedules:
Lockheed Martin supports a variety of alternate work schedules that provide additional flexibility to our employees. Schedules range from standard 40 hours over a five day work week while others may be condensed. These condensed schedules provide employees with additional time away from the office and are in addition to our Paid Time off benefits.
Schedule for this Position:
4x10 hour day, 3 days off per week
