Description:Seeking an Instrumentation and Data Acquisition Test Engineer to lead the setup and operation of instrumentation and data acquisition systems during the execution of component, subsystem, and system level environmental, Modal, deployment, and integration testing.
Work closely with technical experts and test support staff to meet the needs of the programs. Advise customers and labs of measurement capabilities and limitations, and make recommendations to ensure success. Prepare work instructions for instrumentation installation and checkout. Lead technician and team efforts to execute instrumentation tasks. Configure, operate and troubleshoot data acquisition systems, instrumentation, and automated test equipment. Develop and review test procedures. Setup and execute Modal testing and perform post test data review. Support test discrepancy resolution and other troubleshooting activities. Prepare and disseminate test results, reports, and analysis.

Basic Qualifications:

• Bachelors or Masters degree from an accredited college/university (Mechanical Engineering, Aerospace Engineering, Electrical Engineering or a related discipline preferred) or equivalent experience/combined education.
• Experience with electrical test equipment such as bench top power supplies, oscilloscopes, digital multimeters, data acquisition and control systems.
• Experience with sensors including accelerometers, strain gages, thermocouples, RTDs, load cells, microphones. signal conditioning, and device troubleshooting.
• Experience with testing and quality processes.
• Strong communication skills.

Desired Skills:

• Experience working in the test lab environment; exposure to structural and environmental test.
• Familiarity with principles behind digital signal processing, signal conditioning, and data analysis.
• Experience with data manipulation in Matlab and Excel; programming experience desired.
• Familiarity with Modal testing and Modal data analysis.
• Experience writing Lab Work Instructions or Test Procedures
  Security Clearance Statement: This position requires a government security clearance, you must be a US Citizen for consideration.

Work Schedules: Lockheed Martin supports a variety of alternate work schedules that provide additional flexibility to our employees. Schedules range from standard 40 hours over a five day work week while others may be condensed. These condensed schedules provide employees with additional time away from the office and are in addition to our Paid Time off benefits.
Schedule for this Position: 9x80 every other Friday off
Pay Rate: The annual base salary range for this position in California, Massachusetts, and New York (excluding most major metropolitan areas), Colorado, Hawaii, Illinois, Maryland, Minnesota, New Jersey, Vermont, Washington or Washington DC is $89,300 - $157,550. For states not referenced above, the salary range for this position will reflect the candidate’s final work location. Please note that the salary information is a general guideline only. PTO, Vacation, sick leave, and holiday hours are prorated based on start date during the calendar year.
