About the role

Description:

You will be the Manufacturing Engineer Senior for the THAAD canister program. Our team is responsible for translating hardware specifications into tooling and equipment designs, supporting the production floor, and driving continuous improvement.

What You Will Be Doing

As the Manufacturing Engineer Senior you will be responsible for delivering high‑quality tooling solutions and supporting manufacturing operations.

Your responsibilities will include, but are not limited to:

  • Develop and refine tooling and equipment designs based on hardware specifications.

  • Provide technical support to the production floor and troubleshoot issues.

  • Apply GD&T principles to ensure design accuracy.

  • Collaborate on continuous‑improvement initiatives.

  • Utilize CAD software (AutoCAD, CREO, Solid Works) to create detailed models.

MUST BE A U.S. CITIZEN - This position is located at a facility that requires special access. The selected candidate must be able to obtain a Secret clearance.

Basic Qualifications:

  • Bachelor’s degree in Mechanical Engineering,

  • Electrical, Aerospace, or other related discipline from an accredited college or equivalent experience/combined education.

  • Proficiency or experience with AutoCAD, CREO,

  • Solid Works, or similar modeling software.

  • Knowledge of Geometric Dimensioning
    and Tolerancing (GD&T)

  • Demonstrated ability for problem solving.

  • Understanding of common manufacturing hand tools.
    Must be a US Citizen. This position will require a
    government security clearance. This position is
    located at a facility that requires special access.
    Desired Skills:

  • Knowledgeable of hydraulic and pneumatic
    systems/equipment/tools used in a
    manufacturing environment.

  • Knowledgeable of machine / tooling
    mechanical design.

  • Knowledgeable of general manufacturing /
    integration processes.

  • Knowledgeable of engineering materials and
    methods.

  • Demonstrated ability to identify and solve
    complex issues.

This position requires a government security clearance, you must be a US Citizen for consideration.

Ability to Work Remotely:

Onsite Full-time: The work associated with this position will be performed onsite at a designated Lockheed Martin facility.
Work Schedules:

Lockheed Martin supports a variety of alternate work schedules that provide additional flexibility to our employees. Schedules range from standard 40 hours over a five day work week while others may be condensed. These condensed schedules provide employees with additional time away from the office and are in addition to our Paid Time off benefits.
Schedule for this Position:

4x10 hour day, 3 days off per week
