Senior Systems Integration / Test Engineer
Description: Role Overview
As a Senior Systems Integration and Test Engineer, you will help bring complex hardware systems to life. You’ll plan and execute integration and testing activities that support the THAAD Ground program—delivering critical capabilities for defense missions. Your work will span development through production, ensuring systems perform reliably when it matters most.
Key Duties / Responsibilities
- Provide technical oversight for hardware assembly, integration, and testing
- Lead and support teams executing integration and test activities
- Develop and review technical documents, test plans, and presentations
- Present program status and technical results to leadership and customers
- Partner with cross-functional teams to resolve issues and improve processes
- Support program reviews and ensure alignment with customer requirements
Work Environment
- Onsite role based in Huntsville, Alabama, across multiple facilities
- Collaborative, team-oriented environment with engineers and program stakeholders
- Fast-paced, mission-driven work supporting complex defense systems
- Regular interaction with leadership and customers through reviews and briefings

Basic Qualifications:Candidates must meet all requirements listed: - Ability to obtain and maintain a Secret security clearance (U.S. citizenship required)
- Hands-on experience with hardware assembly, integration, and testing
- Strong attention to detail, including creating technical documents, test plans, and presentations
- Clear communication skills, including presenting technical information to leadership and customers
- Comfortable participating in and presenting during program reviews
- Ability to work onsite across multiple facilities in Huntsville, Alabama
Desired Skills: Nice-to-have experience that can strengthen your application:
Certifications & Experience
- Degree in Electrical, Mechanical, or Aerospace Engineering
- Certified Test Conductor or Certified Principal Engineer
- Experience with missile defense system hardware integration and checkout
- Familiarity with Missile Defense Agency programs
- Experience developing detailed hardware tests and procedures
- Experience working in Assembly, Test, and Launch Operations (ATLO) environments
Technical Skills & Tools
- Ability to read and interpret mechanical and electrical schematics and specifications
- Experience supporting Failure Review Boards or Change Control Boards
- Familiarity with tools such as SAP, EPDM, VECAMS, JIRA, or similar systems
Leadership & Collaboration
- Experience leading multidisciplinary teams or projects
Security Clearance Statement:
This position requires a government security clearance, you must be a US Citizen for consideration.
Clearance Level:
Secret with Investigation or CV date within 5 years

Ability to Work Remotely:
Onsite Full-time: The work associated with this position will be performed onsite at a designated Lockheed Martin facility.
Work Schedules:
Lockheed Martin supports a variety of alternate work schedules that provide additional flexibility to our employees. Schedules range from standard 40 hours over a five day work week while others may be condensed. These condensed schedules provide employees with additional time away from the office and are in addition to our Paid Time off benefits.
Schedule for this Position:
9x80 every other Friday off
