This position directly supports the production of cables and harnesses, subassemblies, and AI&T for the LRHW Program.

As a Quality Engineering Associate Manager, the candidate will provide leadership to the Huntsville Production Quality team. This includes Quality Engineers and Production Floor Inspectors.
Key responsibilities include:

  • Leading, developing and mentoring team of Quality Engineers and Inspectors
  • Supporting new business proposals and program start ups
  • Providing surge support to Quality Engineering team
  • Ensuring product compliance through accurate flow down of Program/Industry requirements
  • Trending Quality metrics and performing/leading root cause analysis and corrective action
  • Interfacing with DCMA, Customers and other key stakeholders to resolve technical and Quality issues
  • Helping dive process improvements and cost savings through utilizing a continuous improvement mentality

Basic Qualifications:

  • Bachelor’s degree from an accredited college in a technical discipline (e.g., engineering field) or equivalent discipline (e.g., math, physics, chemistry, etc.) or equivalent combined education/experience.

  • Experience working in an Aerospace/Defense or related Manufacturing environment certified to AS9100/ISO9001

  • Strong working knowledge of problem solving/root cause analysis and process management

  • Ability to comprehend and interpret drawings, work instructions, schematics, and specifications

  • Must be a U.S. Citizen w/Ability to obtain and maintain a Secret Clearance
    Desired Skills:

  • Formal or informal leadership experience

  • CQE (certified quality engineer)
    -Lean Manufacturing experience (Green Belt/Black Belt Certification)

  • Previous experience as an Material Review Board team member (MRB)

  • Cable and harness manufacturing experience

  • Experience maintaining an AS9100 certified quality system

  • Audit experience

  • Experience utilizing precision measuring tools and inspection equipment

  • Quality Engineering experience

  • Currently or has in the past possessed a Security Clearance

  • SAP Experience

  • Strong communication skills including the ability to interface effectively with executive leadership on strategic and tactical issues affecting the quality of products and services

  • Demonstrate ability to make critical decisions, set priorities and provide succinct direction in a dynamic business environment

  • Demonstrate track record of working with multiple customers and forming strong internal and external customer relationships
    Security Clearance Statement:

This position requires a government security clearance, you must be a US Citizen for consideration.

Ability to Work Remotely:

Onsite Full-time: The work associated with this position will be performed onsite at a designated Lockheed Martin facility.
Work Schedules:

Lockheed Martin supports a variety of alternate work schedules that provide additional flexibility to our employees. Schedules range from standard 40 hours over a five day work week while others may be condensed. These condensed schedules provide employees with additional time away from the office and are in addition to our Paid Time off benefits.
Schedule for this Position:

9x80 every other Friday off
