THE WORK
Field Support Technician responsible for the introduction, installation, testing, and modification of the latest ARCI SONAR technology to the US Navy Submarine Fleet. Up to 50% of the job will be traveling to Naval Bases/Shipyards. Provide technical support and perform maintenance activities at various locations, including customer sites to ensure optimal functioning of SONAR systems. Provide system software/hardware support. Execute engineering field changes, including equipment upgrades and replacements. Foster positive relationships with the customer through effective communication and collaboration.
Support the ARCI Customer Support Center (CSC) to troubleshoot complex issues and provide resolutions in minimal time. Support the Government Furnished Equipment (GFE) Lab to build, test, and maintain the SONAR equipment before sell-off to the Navy On-Site Team. Field Support Technician will play a key role in the integration of the latest technology to the US Navy Submarines. Work location is the Lockheed Martin RMS facility in Manassas, VA. The candidate will work onsite fulltime.

Basic Qualifications:

-Ability to obtain and hold a Secret Security Clearance
-Work on occasion will require extended travel to Naval bases and Shipyards – up to 50%
-Ability to adapt to dynamic business environment
-Team player who can work without direct supervision
Desired Skills:

Previous US Navy Sonar Technician experience:

Ability to interpret drawings, wiring diagrams and plans
Presentation skills to leadership, US Government, and US Navy customers
Strong problem-solving skills and attention to detail
Security Clearance Statement:

This position requires a government security clearance, you must be a US Citizen for consideration.

Work Schedules:

Lockheed Martin supports a variety of alternate work schedules that provide additional flexibility to our employees. Schedules range from standard 40 hours over a five day work week while others may be condensed. These condensed schedules provide employees with additional time away from the office and are in addition to our Paid Time off benefits.
