We are seeking a motivated and detail oriented financial reporting senior with relevant experience to join our team. The candidate will be responsible for supporting the financial statement close process and may support other accounting functions as needed.
Key Responsibilities:
- Drive the financial close: Prepare consolidated financial statements, roll forwards, impairment assessments, and related close activities on a timely basis.
- Journal entry & accrual management: Draft, review, and post month end and quarter end journal entries, including complex accruals and estimates.
- Account reconciliations: Own balance sheet reconciliations (Reserves, Leases, AR, Liabilities, etc.); investigate and resolve discrepancies.
- Management reporting & analysis: Produce and interpret key performance reports (e.g., flux analysis) and deliver actionable insights to finance leadership.
- Process improvement: Identify automation or workflow enhancements; lead initiatives to increase efficiency and reduce manual effort.
- Compliance & controls: Ensure adherence to GAAP, SOX, and internal policies; document controls, support internal & external audits.
- Team development: Mentor junior accountants and provide on the job training.
Schedule is a 9x80 with weekly onsite work at our Highlands Ranch, CO office.
Basic Qualifications:
- Bachelors or higher level degree with relevant work experience
- Ability to work in a fast paced environment, meet tight deadlines, and manage multiple priorities
- High level of accuracy, attention to details and ability to work with a team
- Effective verbal and written communication skills to effectively interact with peers, customers, and managers
- Strong analytical and problem solving skills
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office applications
- US citizenship required. Applicants selected may be subject to a government security investigation to obtain a possible clearance and if applicable must meet and maintain eligibility requirements for access to classified information.
Desired Skills:
- Certified Public Accountant (CPA)
- Knowledge of government contract accounting
- Prior experience with SAP (or other ERP systems)
- Knowledge of internal controls, risk management practices, and basic SOX compliance
- Demonstrated teamwork and the ability to take direction while also working independently
- 3+ years of related accounting experiences
- Bachelors or higher degree in Accounting or related field
- Proficient in Excel

Ability to Work Remotely:
Full-time Remote Telework: The employee selected for this position will work remotely full time at a location other than a Lockheed Martin designated office/job site. Employees may travel to a Lockheed Martin office for periodic meetings.
Work Schedules:
Lockheed Martin supports a variety of alternate work schedules that provide additional flexibility to our employees. Schedules range from standard 40 hours over a five day work week while others may be condensed. These condensed schedules provide employees with additional time away from the office and are in addition to our Paid Time off benefits.
Schedule for this Position:
9x80 every other Friday off
Pay Rate:
The annual base salary range for this position in most major metropolitan areas in California, Massachusetts, and New York is $84,900 - $147,085. For states not referenced above, the salary range for this position will reflect the candidate’s final work location. Please note that the salary information is a general guideline only. Lockheed Martin considers factors such as (but not limited to) scope and responsibilities of the position, candidate's work experience, education/ training, key skills as well as market and business considerations when extending an offer.

Pay Rate:
The annual base salary range for this position in California, Massachusetts, and New York (excluding most major metropolitan areas), Colorado, Hawaii, Illinois, Maryland, Minnesota, New Jersey, Vermont, Washington or Washington DC is $73,800 - $130,180. For states not referenced above, the salary range for this position will reflect the candidate’s final work location. Please note that the salary information is a general guideline only. Lockheed Martin considers factors such as (but not limited to) scope and responsibilities of the position, candidate's work experience, education/ training, key skills as well as market and business considerations when extending an offer.

(Washington state applicants only) Non-represented full-time employees: accrue at least 10 hours per month of Paid Time Off (PTO) to be used for incidental absences and other reasons; receive at least 90 hours for holidays. Represented full time employees accrue 6.67 hours of Vacation per month; accrue up to 52 hours of sick leave annually; receive at least 96 hours for holidays. PTO, Vacation, sick leave, and holiday hours are prorated based on start date during the calendar year.
This position is incentive plan eligible.
