Lockheed Martin is seeking a Software Quality Engineer for a position in Orlando, FL to develop and maintain Systems and Software Quality Engineering common processes that are aligned with AS9100 Quality Management System, Program and Customer requirements.
What You Will Be Doing
Responsibilities will include, but are not limited to:
- Develops, modifies, and applies quality principles to the development and use of software and software-based systems for make and/or buy software products
- Develops overall operating criteria to ensure implementation of the software quality program according to project, process and contract requirements and objectives
- Designs and implements software development and maintenance processes
- Defines audit strategy to ensure compliance to systems/software processes
- Designs, specifies, and conducts test methods for software inspection, verification, and validation
- Evaluates and analyzes software quality systems for deficiency identification and correction
- Ensures measures meet acceptable reliability standards
- Performs software product reviews against contractual, technical and/or process requirements
- Reviews requirement specifications, design documents, source code, test plans and procedures, materials, tools, techniques, and methodologies
- Performs or directs verification of software requirement allocations, traceability, and testability.
- Travel may be required to support program activities.

MUST BE A U.S. CITIZEN - This position is located at a facility that requires special access. The selected candidate must have a secret clearance.
Basic Qualifications:
Bachelors degree in STEM or higher (preferable in one of the following disciplines: Computer Science, Computer Engineering, Electrical Engineering, Mechanical Engineering)
Must have a Secret clearance with the ability to be granted access to Special Access Program
Ability to Travel:
Experience with product development phases
Proficient skill level with Microsoft Office applications: Word, Excel, PowerPoint, etc.
Demonstrated basic understanding of audit techniques
Software Quality or Engineering experience in Requirements Analysis, Design/Development, Product Integration and Test
Demonstrated ability to use causal analysis tools to analyze and resolve technical/process issues varying from basic to very complex
Ability to interpret software design and code (C/C++) to verify implementation of requirements
Hands-on experience with Agile Methodologies (SCRUM, Kanban, SAFe, etc.)
Lab/Test Equipment Hardware knowledge or background skills
Desired Skills:
Familiar with the Atlassian Suite of tools (Jira, Confluence, etc.) and Gitlab.
Familiar with automated test system platforms (NI Test Stand, NI LabVIEW, System Link).
Basic understanding of electro-mechanical engineering drawings and Geometric Dimensioning and Tolerancing (GD&T) with the ability to inspect drawings for compliance.
Lean Six Sigma (Green Belt)
Effective interpersonal skills, including Team building and Collaboration
Experience with presentation & problem solving skills
Experience with Government customers
Strong knowledge of Industry recognized Quality:
Systems/Models such as Capability Maturity Model Integrated (CMMI), QMS System Audit (AS9100, ISO9001)
Experience with verification and validation processes
Different program phase experience (development, production, sustainment)
Corrective Action Board (Process, Command Media, corrective action , preventive action, Root Cause Analysis)
SAP software and DELMIA Apriso:

Security Clearance Statement: This position requires a government security clearance, you must be a US Citizen for consideration.
Clearance Level: Secret with Investigation or CV date within 5 years

Ability to Work Remotely: Onsite Full-time: The work associated with this position will be performed onsite at a designated Lockheed Martin facility.
Work Schedules: Lockheed Martin supports a variety of alternate work schedules that provide additional flexibility to our employees. Schedules range from standard 40 hours over a five day work week while others may be condensed. These condensed schedules provide employees with additional time away from the office and are in addition to our Paid Time off benefits.
Schedule for this Position: 4x10 hour day, 3 days off per week
