Systems Engineer- Level 2
Description:
You will be the Systems Engineer for the Mission Assurance Team which is responsible for designing and delivering anti‑tamper system architectures that protect critical programs.
What You Will Be Doing:
As the Systems Engineer you will be responsible for leading the technical execution of anti‑tamper (AT) solutions and ensuring they meet security, performance, and contractual requirements.
Your responsibilities will include:

Define and evolve AT system architectures, attack/countermeasure trees, and Critical Program Information (CPI) assessments.

Support internal and external design reviews (SRR, PDR, CDR, TRR) and verify compliance with Command Media and contract standards.

Collaborate with program engineers, suppliers, and government customers to resolve anomalies and drive technical trade studies.

Develop models, guidelines, and documentation for current and future system development.

Communicate progress, issues, and achievements to the Mission Assurance Senior Manager and Director.

Who You Are:
You are a detail‑oriented, collaborative technical leader with proven experience in security‑focused system architecture. You thrive in complex, interrelated environments, can multitask effectively, and communicate technical concepts with clarity. A U.S. citizen with an active Secret clearance, you are ready to travel to Lockheed Martin, supplier, and customer facilities as needed.

Bachelor’s Degree in Engineering/Technical Discipline.
-
Generally has 1+ years of related experience and may have a post-secondary degree or training in a related discipline.

Secret Clearance with ability to obtain Special Access Program (SAP) Clearance.
Desired Skills: -
Candidate must be available for occasional domestic travel (up to 25 %).
-
Familiarity and knowledge of Avionics Subsystems to include Communications, Navigation, Identification, Infrared Search and Track, Core Processing, Electronic Warfare/Protection and Radar.
-
Experience with Model‑Based Systems Engineering (MBSE) implementation and best practices.
-
Experience managing and prioritizing multiple tasks.
-
Exceptional communication skills.
-
Experience evaluating vulnerabilities/threats/risks to a system/subsystem.
-
Reverse Engineering background.
-
Ability to develop practical solutions to a range of complex problems while working under general direction; work is reviewed at critical points.
Security Clearance Statement:
This position requires a government security clearance, you must be a US Citizen for consideration.
Clearance Level:
Secret with Investigation or CV date within 5 years

Ability to Work Remotely:
Onsite Full-time: The work associated with this position will be performed onsite at a designated Lockheed Martin facility.
Work Schedules:
Lockheed Martin supports a variety of alternate work schedules that provide additional flexibility to our employees. Schedules range from standard 40 hours over a five day work week while others may be condensed. These condensed schedules provide employees with additional time away from the office and are in addition to our Paid Time off benefits.
Schedule for this Position:
4x10 hour day, 3 days off per week
