What You Will Be Doing
As the Harness Installation Design Engineer you will be responsible for delivering innovative harness and interconnect solutions within the IFG, ensuring seamless integration into aircraft airframes.
Your responsibilities will include:

Integrate all electrical harnesses into the airframe by determining routing and necessary support/clamping.

Provide direct support to in‑house Production and Supply Chain as Liaison Engineer and MRB liaison.

Review and disposition Requests for Engineering Action and SPARs/QARs.
-
Model electrified 3D harness routes to drive physical harness configuration design.
-
Create build‑to‑packages for detail parts, assemblies, and installations.

Further Information About This Opportunity
MUST BE A U.S. CITIZEN - This position is located at a facility that requires special access. The selected candidate must be able to obtain a secret clearance.
Basic Qualifications:
-
Bachelor's degree in Aerospace or Mechanical Engineering
-
2 years of professional experience; or no experience required with a related Masters degree
-
Experience with 3DX, CATIA, Solidworks, Pro Engineer, Creo, Unigraphics, NX, or equivalent Computer Aided Design (CAD) tool
-
The candidate must be willing to participate in technical discussion with support teams to achieve
-
Proficient with Microsoft Office
-
Excellent written and verbal communication skills
-
Ability to work in a collaborative and team-based environment
Desired Skills: -
Experience with some Aerospace Aircraft (C-130H, C-130J, C-5, P3, F35, F16, F22, etc...)
-
Some experience, and technical/project leadership experience on large-scale aircraft and defense systems acquisition and development programs
-
Experience with Harness, Wiring, or Cable design/schematics
-
Some experience with LM Aero tools and databases; these include but are not limited to LAWS, JEDI, ECRS, DIMs, CADatanet, Service Flo, Parts Warehouse, CSPL, and ADMS
Security Clearance Statement:
This position requires a government security clearance, you must be a US Citizen for consideration.

Ability to Work Remotely:
Onsite Full-time: The work associated with this position will be performed onsite at a designated Lockheed Martin facility.
Work Schedules:
Lockheed Martin supports a variety of alternate work schedules that provide additional flexibility to our employees. Schedules range from standard 40 hours over a five day work week while others may be condensed. These condensed schedules provide employees with additional time away from the office and are in addition to our Paid Time off benefits.
Schedule for this Position:
4x10 hour day, 3 days off per week
