Description:

Join the Lockheed Martin Aeronautics Field Sustainment Team as an Air Mobility & Maritime Mission (AMMM) Field Operations(FO) Manager. This position supports our Aeronautics Field Sustainment (AFS) Program in Greenville, South Carolina. This position will be responsible for coordinating subordinate employee recruitment, selection and training, performance assessment, work assignments, salary, and recognition/disciplinary actions. It is desired but not mandatory the selected candidate work in one of the following 3 locations: Marietta, GA., Fort Worth, TX., or Greenville, SC.

What You Will Be Doing

This position shall support the FSE Core team gathering cost, schedule and technical performance. The individual will monitor risk across functional lines on program and project status, and interface with their customer counterpart. This position will work with the FSE Core team to prepare monthly financial and management reports for customer organizations and interface directly with them to address questions, concerns and issues.

Additional responsibilities include:

  • Participates in the negotiation of contract and contract changes.
  • Attends customer generated meetings as required.
  • Understands the challenges of fielded personnel and implements solutions to ensure maximum value for customer and employee.
  • Work across functional organizations
  • Assist in the realignment of personnel as required in support of various customer needs.
  • Integrates the efforts performed by partner companies and ensures documentation of transactions are current with partner's external work order management systems.
  • This position involves some domestic and international travel.
  • This position supports Field Support Engineers world wide and may require overtime, weekend work, 1st, 2nd, or 3rd shift work, deployments, travel or assignments to domestic or foreign locations.
  • Must possess at minimum an Interim Secret Clearance. Must be able to obtain a Final Secret Clearance. Must be a United States citizen. This position is located at a facility that requires special access.

Basic Qualifications:

The following Basic Qualifications are skills that a candidate must possess to be considered for this position:

  • 6 years of leadership experience
  • Lockheed Martin Field Support Engineering management experience
  • Demonstrated relationship development with external customers to include exceptional written and verbal communication skills
  • Experience in executing work schedules development and task assignments

Desired Skills:

The following Desired Skills are not required but are those skills that would set a candidate apart from other candidates:

  • Field Support Engineering experience in an AMMM environment (C-130, C-5 or P-3 platforms)
  • Experience interpreting customer requirements and participation in proposal processes
  • Bachelor's Degree from an accredited college.
  • Basic knowledge and experience with aircraft production manufacturing process from design through build.
  • Program Performance Management Process and Earned Value Management systems.
  • Familiar with and experienced in Program Management Earned Value Management System and Integrated Master Schedule/ Integrated Master Program tools, processes and policies
  • Ability to lead proposal and negotiation preparation
  • Experience developing rough order of magnitude estimates and basis of estimate
  • Microsoft Project experience
  • Experience with personnel management. This includes pay, performance, various administrative tasks and discipline.
  • Experience working with the Product Team organization

Ability to Work Remotely:

Part-time Remote Telework: The employee selected for this position will work part of their work schedule remotely and part of their work schedule at a designated Lockheed Martin facility. The specific weekly schedule will be discussed during the hiring process.

Work Schedules:

Lockheed Martin supports a variety of alternate work schedules that provide additional flexibility to our employees. Schedules range from standard 40 hours over a five day work week while others may be condensed. These condensed schedules provide employees with additional time away from the office and are in addition to our Paid Time off benefits.

Schedule for this Position:

4x10 hour day, 3 days off per week
