We're seeking a talented and motivated Senior Software Engineer to join our fast-paced development effort and contribute to the success of a very challenging and rewarding mission.

In this position you will:

  • Collaborate with an exceptional team of engineers implementing solutions and developing new features for satellite mission planning

  • Design, develop & demonstrate software capabilities to both internal and external partners

  • Participate in daily scrums, software sprint/release planning, demos, and retrospectives.
    Basic Qualifications:

  • Bachelor's degree in a related discipline, such as Computer Science, Software Engineering, Applied Physics, or other engineering disciplines or equivalent experience

  • Experience in software design, problem solving, and troubleshooting with the ability to independently design software solutions to address complex problems.

  • Experience in satellite mission planning and the software design & implementation of mission planning algorithms

  • Experience in software development using programming languages such as C# or Java

  • Experience working in Agile teams

  • Active TS/SCI with a favorably Poly security clearance to start. (Must be a US citizen)
    Desired Skills:

  • Knowledge of Orbital Dynamics

  • Full development lifecycle experience

  • Experience with GitLab CI/CD - Deployment pipelines, automated build, and/or configuration tools

Ability to Work Remotely:

Onsite Full-time: The work associated with this position will be performed onsite at a designated Lockheed Martin facility.
Work Schedules:

Lockheed Martin supports a variety of alternate work schedules that provide additional flexibility to our employees. Schedules range from standard 40 hours over a five day work week while others may be condensed. These condensed schedules provide employees with additional time away from the office and are in addition to our Paid Time off benefits.

9x80 every other Friday off
