Portable Tool & Equip Rep Sr.
Description:
Determines nature and extent of damage, operational defects or wear by making routine, periodic or special inspections on such machine accessories, portable tools, equipment and attachments as pressure gauges and regulators, automatic die heads, tapping heads, hand routers, electric sanders, skill saws, portable piston type squeezers, portable high pressure pumps, welding valves and regulators; hydraulically, electrically or pneumatically powered portable tools such as drills, nut runners, power screwdrivers, and nibblers; determines methods and sequence of operations, services, repairs and functionally tests these tools and equipment working to shop practice and procedure, manufacturers’ drawings, specifications and catalogues, shop orders, oral and written instructions and other authorized information; performs such typical operations as disassembling unit, repairing or replacing defective or worn parts such as shafts, bushings, pistons, valves, bearings, gears, armatures, coils, brushes, shims and spacers, reassembling unit, adjusting and functionally testing same.
Works with engineering and/or production personnel, sets up various types and size drilling devices necessary during the assembly phase of aircraft structural components; sets up various types of drilling motors to perform drilling and reaming of close tolerance holes; installs bushings, adaptors and cutting tools; adjusts stops, sets feeds and speeds depending on type of material, size of hole, finish required and tolerance to be held; records all data for future use such as type of drilling device used, adaptors and/or bushings required, type and size of drill and/or reamer, and most efficient feed and speed.
Performs modification and rework of the level of difficulty of the operations described above.
PERFORMS SUCH RELATED DUTIES AS:
Marks reference lines and points on raw stock by scribing around worn or damaged part, and/or taking measurements directly from part, tool, or equipment.
Maintains and repairs such items as angle heads, flexible angle shafts, numbering heads, squeezer yokes, vacuum cleaners, spray guns, pressure pots, rivet guns, jack hammers, and sand rammers; resharpens, repairs and adjusts strippet punches. Straightens bent parts, brazes and solders as required.
Must be able to work any shift and any work schedule Basic Qualifications:
Two years of experience in Blueprint reading and tool repair.
Experience with inventory systems and perform data entry.
Experience creating bill of materials (BOM's) for needed repairs.
Desired Skills:
Experience in machine accessories, portable tools, & equipment
Operation and maintenance of hydraulically, electrically or pneumatically powered portable tools
Security Clearance Statement:
This position requires a government security clearance, you must be a US Citizen for consideration.

Ability to Work Remotely:
Onsite Full-time: The work associated with this position will be performed onsite at a designated Lockheed Martin facility.
Work Schedules:
Lockheed Martin supports a variety of alternate work schedules that provide additional flexibility to our employees. Schedules range from standard 40 hours over a five day work week while others may be condensed. These condensed schedules provide employees with additional time away from the office and are in addition to our Paid Time off benefits.
Schedule for this Position:
4x10 hour day, 3 days off per week

The base range for this position in California is $22.87 - $35.47.
