THE JOB
The VIP Lounge at Hollywood Palladium is seeking Security Team Members. This team will help deliver a premium, welcoming, and safe environment by overseeing guest entry, membership verification, venue policies, and the overall safety of the lounge and connecting VIP entrance into the Palladium. Security in The VIP Lounge is a high-touch hospitality role: part guardian of the space, part ambassador of the brand.
WHAT THIS ROLE WILL DO
· Ensure the safety and security of patrons, employees, and venue assets.
· Manage the exclusive entrance and conduct regular patrols of VIP Lounge and corridor and respond promptly to all security and safety-related calls.
· Prevent and resolve altercations among guests, lead emergency evacuation procedures when necessary.
· Inspect guests for prohibited items using metal detectors or pat-down searches; enforce venue policies on photos/videos/recording devices.
· Check identification for guests appearing under 30 who consume alcoholic beverages.
· Safeguard against theft and property damage; remove hazards and maintain a clear, safe environment inside and outside the venue.
· Interact with patrons, vendors, and employees in a courteous and professional manner while verifying memberships, premium tickets or other credentials.
· Anticipate guest needs and provide proactive assistance to enhance their experience.
· Attend pre-shift meetings and complete all assigned tasks within established guidelines and deadlines.
· Set up areas before opening and maintain cleanliness throughout the shift. · Comply with all department policies, procedures, and performance standards. · Investigate incidents and compile accurate reports.
· Communicate clearly and remain in constant contact during shifts, including VIP arrivals/reservations.
· Perform a variety of duties, adapting to changing tasks without loss of efficiency or composure.
· Assist other departments as needed.
· Exhibit exemplary conduct, appearance, and grooming standards while on duty.
· Articulate vocabulary and ability to socialize appropriately with diverse audiences.
· Experience working in VIP environments, membership clubs, or with high-profile individuals.
WHAT THIS PERSON WILL BRING
· Must have a high school diploma or equivalent.
· Current valid CA Guard card or security license required.
· Ability to communicate effectively in English.
· An understanding of the rule of law and the relevant penal codes.
· Ability to represent the Security Department in an exemplary manner.
· Ability to effectively perform in crises and work under pressure without the loss of composure.
· Ability to memorize, recollect, and quickly retrieve relevant information.
· Ability to interact effectively and calmly with angry or emotional patrons and employees during intensely aggravated circumstances.
· Ability to walk, stand, lift at least 45 lbs., reach, pull, push, grasp and drag.
PREFERRED - VIP LOUNGE
· Experience in VIP hospitality, membership clubs, luxury lounges, or premium nightlife.
· Comfort working in intimate, sound-focused environments with high-profile guests.
· Strong hospitality instincts: warm greeting, discretion, intuitive guest support.

The expected compensation for this position is:
$20.00 USD - $25.00 USD Hourly
