Job Summary:

Brooklyn Bowl Nashville is following in the footsteps of our original Brooklyn location, noted as “one of the most incredible places on Earth,” by Rolling Stone. Brooklyn Bowl Nashville is the ultimate night out, with its groundbreaking integration of premiere music, 19 lanes of bowling, a bar featuring locally crafted beers, and food by the acclaimed Blue Ribbon restaurant group.
The Dishwasher must perform various kitchen, cleaning, and storage activities such as, but not limited to, dish washing, pot washing, general and equipment cleaning, storage, and rotation of food and supplies. This position also includes janitorial duties in various dining service areas such as dining room, kitchen, and other areas associated with the culinary department. You must handle all food, storage and cleaning activities in accordance with company, federal, state, and local procedures and standards. This position starts at $20 per hour.

  • Collect used kitchenware from dining and kitchen areas

  • Load and unload dish washing machines

  • Wash specific items by hand (e.g. wooden cutting boards, large pots and delicate china)

  • Store clean dishes, glasses and equipment appropriately

  • Set up workstations before meal prep begins

  • Ensure there are always enough clean dishes, glasses and utensils, especially during peak hours

  • Maintain cleaning supplies stock (e.g. detergents) and replace when necessary

  • Check washing machines’ operation and promptly report any technical/performance issues

  • Remove garbage regularly

  • Sanitize the kitchen area, including the floor

  • Maintain a positive and professional approach with coworkers and customers

  • Qualifications• High School diploma or GED

  • Minimum of 1 year of work experience as a Dishwasher in fine dining,
    hospitality, and/or casual dining restaurant

  • Ability to handle multiple priorities

  • Will be standing or in stationary position for long periods of time, lifting

  • 70 lbs., and bending, climbing or working in confined spaces

  • Possess written and verbal skills for effective communication in English

  • Must have organizational and time management skills and demonstrate
    good judgment, problem solving and decision making skills

  • Must have a state issued Health Card

  • Hands-on experience with industrial washing machines

  • Ability to follow instructions and help with various task, as needed

  • Attention to detail and sanitation rules

  • Availability to work in shifts, during weekends and evenings

  • Occasionally will be sitting, walking, reaching, bending, kneeling,
    stooping, climbing

  • Will be pushing/pulling up to 150lbs.

  • Will be lifting up to 70lbs.

  • Will be standing or in a stationary position for long periods of time

  • Will be balancing, twisting, using hands and fingers and wrist motions

  • Required to have good hand/eye coordination and mental alertness

  • Ability to concentrate within numerous distractions

Physical Demands/Working Environment:

  • Working environment is fast-paced, often loud and stressful

  • Position requires extended periods of prolonged standing and working on your feet
