Brooklyn Bowl Philadelphia is the ultimate night out, with its groundbreaking integration of premiere music, 24 lanes of bowling, 2 bars, featuring locally crafted beers, and food by the acclaimed Blue Ribbon restaurant group. Located in the heart of the historic Fishtown neighborhood, adjacent to The Fillmore and The Punchline in what has become a burgeoning entertainment district, the venue is slated to open Q4, 2021, and will be Brooklyn Bowl’s fourth location.

Job Description:

As a Lane Technician, you must exhibit excellent guest service while ensuring maintenance of the lanes, pinsetters, pins, bowling balls, ball returns, and all other related mechanical systems are operating at the highest level of efficiency.

Responsibilities:

• Maintain and repair all bowling-related equipment
• Maintain and clean physical bowling lanes as well as preventative maintenance
• Maintain stock and requisition supplies for bowling equipment
• Inventory bowling-related supplies (i.e. balls, spare pins, cleaning supplies) on a scheduled basis
• Maintain computer system(s) administration for bowling
• Maintain a safe and functional bowling experience
• Keep detailed records of parts, costs, and mechanical performance
• Assist with miscellaneous projects as directed
• Assists management in initiating smooth and efficient operations
• Work together as part of a team to provide the best overall guest experience

Qualifications:

• High School diploma or GED
• Minimum 1 year with Bowling Technical background required
• Previous experience in a bowling facility or in a maintenance tech position preferred
• Working knowledge of computer operations and systems
• Ability to interpret technical manuals and schematics
• Must be comfortable with and adhere to all safety precautions when working with moving mechanical parts
• Basic math and measurement skills
• Be able to communicate clearly and effectively with managers, staff, and guests
• Ability to speak, read and comprehend instructions, short correspondence and policy documents, as well as converse comfortably with customers in English
• Ability to communicate, work well with others, work in a high-volume, and sometimes stressful environment
• Will be moving throughout the venue during the entire shift
• Will be lifting or moving 50 - 100 pounds
• A good sense of balance, will be bending, kneeling, sitting, crouching, and crawling frequently
• Will be using body and arms repetitively and moving between multiple levels using stairs
• Will be working in an environment with loud music, smoke and crowds for extended periods of time
• Will be standing or staying in a stationary position for entire shift

• Working environment is fast-paced, often loud and stressful

• Position requires extended periods of prolonged standing and working on your feet
