THE JOB

The Senior Project Manager (SPM) provides leadership for the Design team, Construction team, and local business unit. They are actively involved in due diligence, consultant engagement, material procurement, permitting, contractor awards, and project oversight. The SPM oversees the project budget, schedule, payment to contractors, changes, claims and inspection for conformance to design requirements. The SPM provides current cost and progress information as the work proceeds and is responsible for the project during the pre-construction, construction, and close out phases, with support from senior management in Physical Plants/Design and Construction.

The list of construction projects to be managed end-to-end will range from $250K to $5M+ per project. In addition to managing the SPM’s own projects, the SPM will also work closely with venue General Managers (GMs), overseeing the management of smaller projects. They will assess requests from GMs, monitor project progress, and assist with technical construction matters – including payment to contractors, changes, claims, and inspection for conformance to design requirements.

The SPM will report to the Head of Construction Management and will interface frequently to develop/implement capital improvement efforts for venues throughout the system.

Prior experience managing construction projects $4M+ end-to-end is required. Candidates without prior experience will not be considered.

Based on the travel demands of this role, the work location is flexible within Midwest and Northeast US. Ideally, this role would either be based out of one of our major offices or a remote location with the option to work from home (proximity to a major airport preferred when working remote). Role requires ~50%-70% travel to project sites in the US.

WHAT THIS ROLE WILL DO

  • Manages and supervises all phases of assigned construction projects at Live Nation owned & operated venues
  • Prepares and manages construction schedules
  • Prepares and manages project budget; approves project expenses
  • Selects and manages general contractors or subcontractors
  • Utilizes Live Nation project management software to assemble / maintain complete project records and close-out documents
  • Performs project punch-list inspections and follow-ups
  • Works in conjunction with the venue GMs, local operations teams, and line of business leaders (e.g. food & beverage, premium seating, etc.)
  • Assists Head of Construction Management in gathering and prioritizing capital improvement requests from the GMs

WHAT THIS PERSON WILL BRING

Job Requirements:

  • Excellent practical knowledge of construction concepts
  • Demonstrated experience with construction project management
  • Prior experience managing construction projects $4M+ and experience in cost estimation and negotiation
  • Ability to establish timelines and budgets with proven track record of bringing projects in on time and within budget
  • Experience with Bid Packages, Award Phase, Contract Administration and Coordination, Construction Phase, Cost Reports, Permits, and Building Codes
  • Strong track record managing subcontractors/general contractors
  • Strong mechanical aptitude and analytic skills
  • Proficiency with Microsoft Office, computerized timelines, flow charts, purchasing, inventory control, expediting, punch lists, etc.
  • Proficiency with Microsoft Project (or other project management software) and CAD preferred
  • Ability to multi-task, remain highly organized, and work with minimal supervision
  • Must be team oriented and be able to lead productive, multi-discipline meetings
  • Must have excellent verbal and written communication skills

The expected compensation for this position is:

$144,000.00 USD - $180,000.00 USD
Pay is based on a number of factors including market location, qualifications, skills, and experience.
