THE JOB

At Live Nation Entertainment, we deliver more than meals — we create exceptional backstage experiences for artists, crew, and touring teams. Our Backstage Hospitality team is passionate, detail-oriented, and committed to “over the top” service standards.

We are seeking a skilled and adaptable Chef who thrives in fast-paced, show-driven environments and understands the elevated expectations of artist catering.

  • Review artist riders in advance and ensure all culinary needs are met accurately and professionally
  • Develop prep lists and production timelines aligned with show schedules and load-in times
  • Maintain all-day snack and beverage areas per Live Nation hospitality standards
  • Ensure proper food storage, rotation, freshness, and waste control
  • Maintain strict compliance with health department regulations and Live Nation safety standards
  • Lead kitchen opening and closing procedures at venues
  • Collaborate with Backstage Director and Hospitality Supervisors to execute seamless show-day operations
  • Adapt quickly to last-minute changes common in live event environments

This is a regional role supporting multiple venues across Northern California. Travel between venues is required.

WHAT THIS PERSON WILL BRING

  • Proven experience as a Chef or Cook in high-volume catering, hospitality, hotel, or event environments
  • Experience working with specialty diets (vegan, vegetarian, gluten-free, allergy-sensitive menus)
  • Strong understanding of buffet execution, family meal service, and elevated backstage hospitality standards
  • Hands-on experience with commercial kitchen equipment
  • Current Food Handler’s Card and thorough knowledge of sanitation regulations
  • Strong time management skills and ability to execute against tight show-day timelines
  • Ability to remain calm, professional, and solutions-oriented under pressure
  • Excellent communication skills in fast-moving environments
  • Ability to take direction while working independently with accountability
  • High attention to detail and commitment to presentation standards

IDEAL CANDIDATE

  • Thrives in a dynamic, ever-changing live entertainment environment
  • Understands that artist hospitality requires discretion, flexibility, and elevated service
  • Brings creativity while respecting rider requirements
  • Takes ownership of kitchen operations and supports a positive team culture
