About Team Event:

Team Event is a full-service event production company specialising in the delivery of consumer events and festivals. Team Event is known for festivals such as The Great Kiwi Beer Festival, Wine & Food Festival South Island, Nostalgia, and Australasia’s biggest festival, Electric Avenue, as well as Live in the Park, staging on-off concerts in Hagley Park such as Tash Sultana and Ocean Alley.

Team Event is part of the Live Nation group of companies as a joint venture partner.

About the role:

Are you a highly organized and relationship driven professional with a passion for creating world-class events in the live entertainment industry? We’re on the hunt for a Communication and Corporate Affairs Manager to join the team at Team Event.

Responsible for leading communications, stakeholder relationships and corporate affairs at Team Event, this role is designed to streamline communication flows and will play a key role in managing relationships across government, partners, media and the wider community.

What you’ll be doing:

Communications & Brand

  • Lead and implement communications strategy while ensuring consistent brand alignment across all channels

Stakeholder & Government Relations

  • Support and maintain relationships with a range of stakeholders including, local and central government, event partners and internally with Live Nation corporate functions.
  • Support compliance, governance, and business affairs requirements across the event lifecycle, identify and help manage risks an assist with approvals across stakeholders

Media & Public Relations (with external support)

  • Act as a central coordination point for PR activity while working alongside external PR consultants to deliver media outcomes, support messaging and media positioning.

Sponsorship & Commercial Alignment

  • Support alignment between sponsorship, marketing, and communications teams across Team Event and Live Nation to ensure partner messaging is delivered effectively.

Event Delivery Support

  • Ensure communications and stakeholder requirements are integrated into event planning and delivery and coordinate across event timelines.

What you’ll bring:

  • Proven experience in communications, PR, or corporate affairs
  • Strong stakeholder and relationship management capability
  • Experience in events, entertainment or consumer brands preferred
  • Ability to operate in fast-paced, high-pressure environments
  • Strong judgement, discretion, and problem-solving ability
