THE JOB
The Communications Coordinator will help support the development and execution of strategic communications initiatives that elevate storytelling and advance business objectives for clubs, theaters and amphitheaters across Venue Nation’s diverse portfolio. Reporting to the Director of Media Relations, this role will assist the Venue Nation Communications team in executing campaigns and projects through material development, project management and process coordination, internal communications, coverage tracking and reporting, and media relations support. This role will also help drive organization and support operations across the team.
WHAT THIS ROLE WILL DO
- Draft materials for external use, including media materials, messaging, presentations, newsroom updates, and social media content that support Venue Nation storytelling
- Assist with media relations efforts, including coordinating logistics, tracking inbound inquiries, assisting with response development, and supporting events, as needed.
- Monitor, track, and distribute media coverage, and develop reports to assess campaign performance.
- Support internal communications efforts, including planning, development, and distribution of a monthly newsletter and other employee-facing materials.
- Provide project management support by tracking timelines, managing deliverables and editorial calendars, and ensuring progress across initiatives.
- Identify, surface, and help activate storytelling opportunities by tapping into internal initiatives, news cycles, and industry trends.
- Help manage administrative duties for department – organize and draft resources, templates, SOPs, agendas and recaps to support efficient and consistent team operations.
- Support special projects that contribute to Venue Nation’s business objectives.
WHAT THIS PERSON WILL BRING
- Minimum of 2 years of experience in communications, public relations, or a related field; experience in entertainment, hospitality, or media industries is a plus
- Bachelor’s degree in Communications, Public Relations, Journalism, or a related field is strongly preferred.
- Strong written and verbal communication skills, with the ability to draft clear, concise, and engaging content for a variety of audiences and channels.
- Highly organized with strong attention to detail and the ability to manage multiple projects and adapt to changing priorities.
- Ability to work both independently and collaboratively across teams, managing multiple priorities while maintaining strong communication and follow-through.
- Interest in media, storytelling, and the evolving communications landscape, with a proactive approach to identifying opportunities and trends.
- Proficient in Microsoft Office and Google Workspace; experience with communications tools, project management and collaboration platforms is a plus.
- Positive attitude, strong work ethic, and a proactive, eager-to-learn mindset.
