Summary
The Strategic Sourcing Specialist supports sourcing managers and directors in the development and execution of sourcing activities in the MRO & Facilities categories. This role focuses on execution of formal category strategies through collaboration with cross-functional teams, ensuring optimal outcomes and driving continuous improvement.
Candidates will be required onsite at our Cleveland, OH HQ.
Job Responsibilities
- Conduct market research and supplier analysis to support sourcing decisions.
- Utilize e Sourcing Tools (Ariba, Buy Linc to prepare RFx packages & support sourcing event execution.
- Analyze bids and develop cost comparisons and negotiation models (utilizing should-cost modeling and Total Cost of Ownership).
- Assist in supplier onboarding, data setup, and contract compliance tracking.
- Identify process improvement and cost opportunities with assigned suppliers.
- Effectively manage assigned suppliers via risk mitigation, scorecards and KPI’s.
Job Requirements
- Bachelor’s degree in supply chain, procurement, or business-related field.
- 2–4 years in procurement or supply chain roles.
- Supplier research and evaluation, including spend analysis and market intelligence.
- Basic negotiation and RFx management.
- Proficient in Excel (analysis, pivot tables).
- Familiar with ERP systems (SAP, Oracle, Coupa), and supply market analysis.
- Attention to detail, time management and follow-through.
- Communication, collaboration, and coordination with internal stakeholders.
- Data-driven decision making using spend analysis.
Preferred Attributes
- Certified in Supply Management (CPSM from ISM, APICS).
- Experience supporting sourcing events across multiple regions/business units.
- Familiarity with supplier diversity and ESG principle
