Position Summary

The Lead Artist will be the example to all other technicians by providing best in class services in his/her technical domain to Life Spa Members and Guests. They will hire and coach the Life Spa team to ensure they are financially successful as well as own operational duties such as inventory, ordering, scheduling, and labor management.

Job Duties/Responsibilities

  • Leads from the front by greeting guests and ensuring guests are comfortable throughout their Life Spa experience.
  • Delivers uncompromising technical services.
  • Serves as an expert in beauty analysis and maintenance regimens.
  • Drives Life Spa service and retail education within the Life Time ecosystem.
  • Serves as a positive role model to all team members to create a happy work environment.
  • Staffs and recruits talent while ensuring schedules are optimized.
  • Places and receives orders and completes weekly inventory.
  • Manages the hourly and commissioned Team Member payroll.
  • Hosts a monthly Team Member Meeting & Weekly 1 to 1 meetings.

Minimum Required Qualifications

  • Ability to stand for prolonged periods of time
  • Ability to perform minor lifting
  • Has strong professional presentation, technical ability and relationship building

Education:

  • High School graduate or equivalent

Years of Experience:

  • 5 or more years of technical experience

Licenses / Certifications / Registrations:

  • Appropriate State/County/City Licenses

Preferred Qualifications:

  • 1 to 2 years of Salon/Spa Leadership experience
  • Hair technician preferred

Pay

This position will be paid commissions based on Team Member's Personal Productivity and will also be eligible for incentive pay based on department performance. The weekly minimum pay for the position will be the applicable minimum wage per hour.
