
VP, Senior Director, People, Purpose & Brand (PP&B) Technology
About the role
Build partnerships with PP&B leaders, vendors, and technology peers, and move leaders forward even amid ambiguity or resistance Own execution and results across the PP&B technology investment portfolio (~$50M annual) and a technology organization of ~125 people Jointly set financial targets with PP&B partners and ensure programs deliver to plan Ensure investments translate into measurable outcomes, speed, quality, control, productivity, employee experience, and economics Drive disciplined prioritization, dependency management, resource allocation, and delivery rigor across Run and Grow, holding teams and partners accountable for outcomes, not activity Translate enterprise strategy into PP&B execution, high-performing engineering, AI-enabled SDLC evolution, modern architecture, and resilient operations Lead adoption of modern engineering practices: product-centric delivery, platform thinking, automation, and AI across the SDLC Apply and evolve enterprise standards for architecture, security, data, and AI, balancing consistency with the realities of PP&B transformation Build and lead a high-performing PP&B technology organization that thrives in sustained transformation Manage staffing strategy (headcount, skills, experience, and internal/external mix), and hire, develop, and coach leaders who operate with accountability and resilience under pressure Foster a culture of direct communication, learning, inclusion, and execution excellence, and model courage in addressing conflict and making hard calls Bachelor's or Master's Degree in technical or business discipline or related experience; Master's Degree preferred More than 5 years in a leadership role required Senior technologist with a proven record leading large-scale, multi-year transformations in complex, regulated environments; experience modernizing core platforms, data ecosystems, and AI-enabled capabilities, preferably in People/HR technology Demonstrated ability to influence, challenge, and partner with executives on operating models, sequencing, investment tradeoffs, and change absorption, addressing conflict directly for better outcomes Hands-on credibility across modern engineering, cloud-native platforms, enterprise SaaS, data platforms, and AI-enabled systems, with experience operationalizing product-centric teams, platform thinking, automation, and responsible embedding of data and AI in the SDLC at scale Proven change leader who has built resilient, high-performing teams through sustained transformation Strong vendor and ecosystem leadership, selection, governance, and value realization across major HR/People platforms and delivery partners, with proven experience implementing 3rd-party HCM/enterprise platforms, cloud-native solutions, and modern data ecosystems Financial and operational acumen, including ownership of technology investment portfolios, multi-year budgeting (labor, software, compute), and blended workforce strategies Business fluency across the PP&B domains, Talent/HR, Total Rewards, Learning, Employee Experience, Communications, Brand, and Purpose Financial services, insurance, or other regulated-industry experience strongly preferred
