About the Team

Our engineering organization operates in collaborative squads, typically comprising Squad Lead, Business Analyst, Development Lead, Software Engineers and Test Engineers. This structure promotes strong collaboration, shared ownership, and efficient delivery.

About the Role

As a Senior Software Engineer – Level 1, you will play a key role in designing, developing, and maintaining scalable backend systems using Java and Spring Boot. You’ll collaborate closely with cross‑functional teams to deliver reliable, high‑quality services that meet both technical and business needs.

This role is ideal for someone with strong backend engineering fundamentals, effective problem‑solving skills, and the ability to communicate clearly with multiple stakeholders.

Responsibilities

  • Design, develop, and maintain enterprise‑grade web applications following best coding practices.
  • Collaborate with cross‑functional teams to deliver new product capabilities, valuing diverse perspectives.
  • Track, investigate, and resolve assigned issues using standard tools, while communicating progress effectively.
  • Stay current with evolving technologies and development practices; share insights with the team.
  • Produce and review technical specifications and supporting documentation.
  • Participate in code reviews, knowledge‑sharing sessions, and continuous learning initiatives.
  • Contribute across various development methodologies (Agile, Waterfall, etc.) and help address technical challenges.

Requirement

  • Professional experience in software development or related roles (candidates with non‑traditional paths are welcome)
  • Strong proficiency in Java (11 / 18 / 21) and Spring Boot
  • Experience with CI/CD pipelines, such as GitHub workflows
  • Understanding of Azure cloud environments, including:
  • Event Hubs (streaming)
  • Azure Cosmos DB
  • Experience with unit testing and integration testing
  • Solid understanding of security best practices (OWASP, OAuth2, JWT)

Nice to Have

  • Experience with ELK Stack or similar monitoring/log analytics tools
  • Exposure to event‑streaming or messaging platforms (Apache Kafka, Spring Batch, etc.)
  • Basic understanding of AI fundamentals
