The Lead Software Engineer, Service Now reports directly to the Engineering Manager. As a Lead Software Engineer, Service Now, you would be responsible for leading the design, development, and evolution of enterprise‑grade Service Now solutions with the deep expertise in Now Assist and Agentic AI implementation within the Service Now Platform.

This role requires a hands‑on who combines deep platform expertise, AI‑driven automation, and integration architecture to deliver scalable, secure, and business‑aligned Service Now solutions. You will be a key technical authority driving the design, development, and deployment of AI-powered solutions across our enterprise Service Now environment.

Responsibilities include working closely with the product management team to ensure we deliver the best user experiences.

Your Responsibilities on the Team

  • Own the end‑to‑end Service Now architecture across Now Assist capabilities related to Platform, ITSM and HRSD.
  • Design scalable, upgrade‑safe solutions aligned with Service Now best practices and enterprise standards.
  • Lead technical design reviews and architecture governance
  • Integrate Service Now with large language models and third-party AI services.
  • Define and govern AI skill configurations, virtual agent flows.
  • Ensure data security, role‑based access, and compliance
  • Monitor AI feature performance, fine tune agentic workflows and drive adoption metrics across business units
  • Architect Agentic AI workflows to enable autonomous or semi‑autonomous task execution
  • Identify opportunities where AI meaningfully reduces manual effort and improves service outcomes
  • Act as a trusted advisor to Business leaders, product owners & enterprise architect
  • Influence roadmap planning, platform strategy, and prioritization decisions
  • Promotes a supportive and collaborative teamwork environment across diverse groups
  • Evaluates interdependencies; thinks critically / systemically when solving problems

Education and Experience Requirements

  • 8+ years of overall IT experience
  • 6+ years of hands‑on Service Now development and architecture experience
  • Proven experience leading complex, enterprise‑scale Service Now implementations
  • Strong understanding of service management, business workflows, and enterprise systems
  • Excellent communication, leadership, and problem‑solving skills

Physical & Office/Site Presence Requirements:

This is primarily a sedentary office position which requires the incumbent to have the ability to operate computer equipment, speak, hear, bend, stoop, reach, lift, and move and carry up to 25 lbs. Finger dexterity is necessary.
